Wonder why panic selling? simply these people have expected supernormal profit within a short periof of 3 months because of what other said in this forum. At this price, not expensive actually, can keep and hold for another 1 or 2 quarters.

Malaysia's Lotte Chemical Titan 3Q Net Profit Plunges 13.7% On Forex Loss

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 28) -- Lotte Chemical Titan Holding, the Malaysian unit of South Korean petrochemical giant Lotte Chemical Corp, said Wednesday its net profit slipped 13.7% in the third quarter due to foreign exchange losses.

Net profit for the three months ended Sep. 30 was 78.77 million ringgit ($18.92 million) compared to 91.30 million ringgit over the same period last year, Lotte Chemical Titan said. Quarterly revenue fell 10.4% on year to 1.94 billion ringgit from 2.17 billion ringgit.

The company recorded foreign exchange loss of 44.60 million ringgit as compared to a gain of 11.63 million ringgit in the year-ago quarter.

“Our long-term strategy to ride through these challenging periods will include optimizing plant operations to increase our production output, improving our business competitiveness in light of industry competition,” it said.

I think Choivo are too smart to be trapped. They bought below RM2.
The ones trapped r those who do not know how to take profit......Buying

Korea not necessary to import product from Malaysia.

Once they dun import then of course LC Titan Revenue may drop
if there is no replacement demand from elsewhere.
=> means less profit or losses for LCTitan

why incur shipping costs to import product from Malaysia?
when domestic factory can produce same product?
its plain business logic

jackson88 yes correct, continuously drop after Qtr result. I kena also that's why fed up and sold all my holdings at loss. My cost that time was 1.60-1.70+.

the secondary drop was due to people buying hoping for technical rebound
technical rebound wun happen coz Korean Cracker restart operations hanging like sword over the head

like today many bought due to 10% drop
next week no more interest in buying

The PE is really under supply in many parts of the world. Polypropylene is one of the raw materials used to make disposable syringe for vaccines. Hope their coming QRs wil be much better.
