MyEG第三季表现料创新高
MyEG（MYEG，0138，主板科技股）旗下首层公共区块链平台Zetrix与中国海关推出双向跨境服务，随着海关项目商业化启动并开始产生交易和使用费，预计Zetrix的服务销售将会持续增长。
另外，该公司在政府部门的特许经营也被延长，预计在短期至中期内公司的业务提供支持。
交通局在2023年第一季引入数字路税更新的该公司的影响不大，交易量仅减少5%，而移民局服务的贡献依旧相对稳定。
催化剂包括大马身份证和世界身份证服务。2024财年第三季表现预计创新高。

Zetrix platform set to spur MyEG’s earnings
PETALING JAYA: MyEG Services Bhd’s (MyEG) earnings prospects remain bright going forward, thanks to its Zetrix blockchain platform.
UOB Kay Hian (UOBKH) Research said MyEG’s prospects remain rejuvenated with plenty of emerging catalysts such as earnings growth from Zetrix-related services and involvement in multiple Malaysian e-government projects.
The recent commercial launch of Zetrix cross-border services also provides assurance on stable recurring revenue and healthy cash flows moving forward, the research house added. After investing over RM1bil to develop its Zetrix blockchain, MyEG launched multiple applications on the platform.
This includes the Ztrade blockchain platform in the China customs, certificate of origin authentication services, smart contract verifiable credentials and blockchain-based digital signing and others.
UOBKH Research said some of these government-to-government blockchain applications under the Zetrix platform solidifies the company’s presence within the domestic e-government space, with more adoption across various ministries.
Earlier in October, MyEG commenced its partnership with Heitech Padu Bhd for Malaysian e-government projects.
To note, HeiTech Padu recently secured a National Integrated Immigration System project worth RM892mil. It also secured another two contracts worth around RM324mil from the Road Transport Department this year.
Leveraging on HeiTech Padu’s back-end system expertise, MyEG is able to develop a holistic platform incorporating its front-end solutions for various e-government projects in the future, the research house said.UOBKH Research is maintaining a “buy” call on MyEG with a target price of RM1.42.
For its second quarter ended June 30, 2024, MyEG’s net profit rose to RM165.42mil from RM111.56mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue grew to RM242.28mil from RM184.88mil a year earlier.
In a filing on its quarterly performance, the company said it expects to continue introducing innovative services by leveraging on new technologies

Currently, Myeg derive about 30% profit from zetrix, such margin will increase to above 50% soon and will ultimately replace local concession become major source of profit for myeg

Nasdaq Inc’s plan to list options on the US$43bil iShares Bitcoin Trust as early as this week and Goldman Sachs Group Inc’s push to spin off its digital-asset platform, signs of how crypto and its underlying blockchain technology are burrowing deeper into the financial system.
Bitcoin jumped as high as US$92,606 on Monday in the United States before changing hands at US$90,565 as of 8:06am yesterday in Singapore, about US$3,000 below a record set last week.
The largest digital asset is up 35% since Trump’s Nov 5 election win on a platform that included making the United States the world’s crypto capital.
“The crypto scene is on the move once again,” Chris Weston, head of research at Pepperstone Group, wrote in a note, adding that Trump Media’s play for Bakkt is “another piece of positive news that is lifting sentiment”.
Trump has vowed to create a supportive US regulatory framework for digital assets and set up a strategic bitcoin stockpile.

These are very normal quarter results. There was no huge growth for its Zetrix service, especially since ZTrade launched. Zetrix's revenue went from RM82.765 million in Q2 to RM84 million this quarter.
This quarter PAT has a one-time gain from HTPADU. After being excluded, the PAT in this quarter amounted to RM170.36 Million, compared to RM165.34 Million in Q2.

Zetrix selling is lower in Q3 (average around USD 16.5) if compared to Q2 which average around USD 17.5.
The exchange rate is also much weakness in USD in Q3 if compared to Q2
In coming Q4 will record much stronger profit as zetrix

I agree that the result of Q4 will be stronger, but I don't agree with the number of token sales, because I found that the total of supply tokens is not directly equal to the sale of tokens. If the 200 million in token sales is true, I believe that MYEG's profit will be multi-million in every quarter and not just around a million. Besides, I saw on the circulating supply, whitepaper and the schedule of Zetrix, that they mentioned that the total supply is not just coming from private or public sales.
