This year, at current price of 10.32,plus dividend ,you get double (about 2 ringgit) (2023 December closing was 8.89). So, at 10.32 it still outperformed by 100% vs last 3 years' average. This is quite a substantial gain considering that the smart money has been buying quitely since June 2023 @1390 level. Social media gurus, proxy of foreign fund, has been active in propaganda in May 2024, that foreign fund are heading to Malaysia, partly assisted by DataCenter stories Over the next 4 weeks, ringgit was pumped up to a strong level of 4.10 from low of 4.75 for them to exit Malaysia. They lol to the banks with stock mlkt gain of 1390 to 1690 and forex gain 4.75 to 4.1 per dollar on Sept 30th. Of course sotong only hear of foreign coming in when index was 1650 in May 2024. In June 2023, the smart money already flowing in. But the public was "informed" in Mar 2024. All in all, smart foreign fund could enjoy almost 50% combined gain of forrex and equity mkt profit.
