yeap agree we are lagging now behind many countries in SEA or ASIA. What cause the problem? Corruption? Are you saying Indo India NO corruption? I dont think so. So what is the root of the problem ? So change of govt can solve the problem? how do you know for sure it will? many can only talk talk but dont know a real problem or even give a good solution.

Now talk about the this pro homo Senator Xenophon? why you want foreigner to come & meddle in our country election? Do you like someone walk into your house & tell you what to do? If you are such person then you are unsecured person a person without integrity & pride.
What about Australia some years ago when they turned away the Aborigines from being representatives at the Parliament?
Stick to stock market trading & news related to it... Leave dirty politicking to dirty politicians.

I am definitely NOT, repeat NOT, for a Islamic Hudud style of government but I REALLY LOVE & HAPPY TO SEE THIS DEVIL MAMAKUTTY IN JAIL.

this is an open discussion topic and how Malaysia's debt is going to hurt all Malaysians like you & me real hard. You want Malaysia is land somewhere near the region of Zimbabwe where inflation rate estimated at 79,600,000% per month & $1USD can get you $Z2,621,984,228...so how much does a chicken cost?

So is our debt really healthy? or are we going to masuk longkang?

Actually I agree with Bingo and though this is a forum for share investing politics unfortunately in Bolihland tends to be a major part related to many shares in Bursa. Anyone who thinks otherwise probably been living under a rock and a big one that is. Everyday you read the news be it traditional newspapers or internet and you see comments about Bursa performance especially the jittery at present and what is it related to? No prize for guessing right but if you get it wrong better put money in the FD :) cheers

The Malaysian economy has been under-performing all these years while under BN rule. We already should be familiar with the growth of GDP per capita of South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. Since 1980 to 2011 we have been under performing every single one of those countries cited where once we we ahead of them. Should we continue under BN rule, our economy is likely to continue to under-perform and our stock market will continue to stagnate not only in the short term after the elections but for the long term.

Corruption surely can spoil all the economic of the countries.Philippines and Indonesia are the good examples.China now is so emphasizing on corruption problems.I think after 5 to 10 years our country will face the financial crisis if our country is still not sensitive to corruption problems.A lot of the traumatic consequences might happen if we fail to patch up the loop holes and corruptions.I hope our political leaders will set good example.

The fact is BN really bring alot problem to Malaysia and this is because for their own "benefit" and very less concern with their own people, don't believe? try check the income per household from 1995 till now, Chinese, Malays or India...u all will get answer there...Zzz

We should agree that we believe what we agree to believe..

We invest or trade based on we believe that the counter will rise up to gain profit... vice versa we sell our share when we believe it will drop drown..

We also invest our future life with what we believe who will bring wealth and excellent social life in our country than your vote is your investment.. Some people believe BR1M, Brank, Brung is worth for their living, others believe with fair economic systems, no corruption will bring brighter fair economic future for all Malaysian... Then you make your own future investment by not voting or vote anyone that you believe at..

We invest for our sustainable future social life with a fair judgement systems. Do you believe Protection can be cure by Punishment? Then what punishment? We now see a lot of social problems from gangsterism, defamationisme, corruptionism, crimemism and etc without any cure.. then you should invest with your vote... what ever vote you make it is what you believe in..

We invest for after life in what we believe in... Some believe in Islam, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu and many other faith that we believe in. I what essence you believe in it won't be the same even though some people think about harmonisation... My believe won't be the same what you believe in.. So just believe with what you believe then understand deeply with what you believe... because the profit we gain is for our after life, true or not it is our investment.

So, what ever we do is our investment and usually what we do, is what we believed in. To understand more to what we believe then do homework, study and make an assessment. Other people can only give their views professionally with what the understand and believe. So when you make a wrong decision then it is your decision. Our money if our ways to invest. If you believe with other people call with good counters, then at last is you decision to believe or no. What is the input? It is from the information you get - what was previously happened (history), was is happening (NOW) and what will happen next (Future). Judge the information yourself, look from the past, current and what will happen next to you, to your family and your future grandson family...

Your believe is your way, invest carefully.... Happy Investing...

Nothing wrong with them. We have many Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Chinese, Malaysians, Singaporeans, people from Hong Kong, Filipinos, Indonesians, Vietnamese, Africans, Arabs, and you name it in London and other parts of Britain. We are more cosmopolitan than Malaysia!

Sabah, At least in London, there are mixture of people. But those who come to Malaysia are not educated and cannot grow the country. Actually, I know a lot of Bangladeshis whom married with the Malay women here and do business. And earn the locals money and then sent it back to Bangladesh. The Indonesians are also sending their hard earn money back to Indonesia. The Pakistanis are also opening a lot of business in the city taking over the locals business. Its all out of control.

Posted by New Insight Sabah > 2013-02-18 12:57 | Report Abuse

We also have many Malaysians who come illegally to work as cooks, kitchen helpers, janitors and street cleaners. Many earn below the minimum wage and are ironically exploited by bosses who were formerly Malaysians. Believe me, Malaysia is a great country despite its shortcomings.

Here are some comments from our expat community:

"Yes, you can live on RM 12,000 per month. We are happily living in a brand new housing project and the three bedroom house next door is for rent at RM 2,000 per month and it is a wonderful place for children as they can play outside on bikes etc in complete safety. I would say that a car is an absolute essential. Malaria is rare and you only need to take precautions when travelling in certain, well documented areas outside of the city. There are some excellent, well informed general practitioners here and some specialists. We love life here and if our children were still living at home we would have been very happy for them to grow up and be educated here." - Paula B.

"We have been living here for nearly 5 years.... This would be one of the most frendly cities in the world. Not much crime here. You only have to read the local newspapers. " - David W.

These are only two examples. There are many more in our club forum.

Malaysians, please be thankful and grateful for what you have. You don't know what you are wishing for. Please don't live to regret.

the national debts does not include off balance sheet financing such as govt financial guarantees to GLCs and corporations for privatised projects. Can you imagine then how high is the actual debt/liability?
