From the information released though, it seems the merger announcement will be released quite soon, otherwise Vincent Tan won't offer 0.8 when the share price was 0.83-0.84 to scare investors away, not very well thought out
Becasue U-mobile is still lost making, it cannot get listed through proper method. But u-mobile can be injected into Redtone, where Redtone will issue new share for VT. Then after 1 year, VT can rename Redtone as Umobile, and people will start to see the profit in the umobile, because umobile subscription base is getting more n more.
VT has already got so big portion of it. I would imagine at this moment, they would want the share price to go up. Why people say the other way round ?
No, VT will only hope the price will go up after he managed to get at least 51% stake after the offer. Else who will sell to him at 80sen which is lower than market price??
GO circular just released. Offer remains open until 8th May 2015., 3 weeks from now. If Berjaya managed to get 51%, then Redtone will become a subsidiary, it will be very interesting then. SOOOOO.... for now, hold on to your shares and wait for it.
If Berjaya/VT manages to get 51%, plus DYMM's 20%, and some magnament staffs' holding, it will be like not much free float in the market, then it is even more interesting, CHEERS!!!
Imagine this.... after GO exercise, they announce the Transfer of Listing to main board, M&A with U-Mobile, good profits from business like TeleRadiology start to contribute handsomely, and so on..... what will happen to share price? Easily above the 80.0 sen, who will be laughing to the bank then??? Right now, let me dream a bit first, time will come! Haha......
setia2u: I believe that there will be some shareholders accept the offer. Now I am waiting for Berjaya to achieve their target of more than 50%, then my TP of RM1.00 is reachable in near future.
