And big loss in forex with inordinate huge forward positions
Chairman has also sold down his stake
I don't see bright future if he remains

然而，由於大部份護盤合約到期，加上馬幣兌美元在10至12月期間回升2.3%，NOTION來季不但可望收復部份護盤虧損，業績也將開始反映強勢美元利好；換句話說，NOTION將在下月公佈的首季業績，有望獲“雙料利好”撐腰，表現可期。

需補充的是，NOTION是家現金流極強的公司，過去兩年業績雖蒙虧，營運淨現金流仍高達5千800萬令吉，加上資本開銷只有2千100萬令吉，自由現金流顯得極可觀，因該公司市值只約1億2千萬令吉。

在情況最惡劣時，NOTION股價最低也僅報36仙。那麼，若該股接下來順利轉虧為盈，現有股價如同仍近谷底，這也是我們選中NOTION的主因。

with the RM strengthening in Dec quarter, Notion will have Derivative Gain compare with Derivative loss previous quarter.

Beside, the revenue will have Forex Gain , as RM has been weakening from ~3.7 previous quarter to RM4.40 Dec quarter.

As such, I foresee the coming earning release will be positive, and possible of dividend to be given, since company is net cash company.

With announcement of dividend stimulation, stock price might goes up above 80sen.

I believe TH was the buyer doing the last minute window dressing. TH did not buy the whole day while price was only .405 Last minute grab more than a million shares at 42 sen. What is the motive?

Hi Val-Elta, do you know why there is a huge loss in 2014 (-RM27.7million / -10.34sen EPS)? If the loss for 2015 was due to forex derivative hedging, what was the cause for 2014 loss? Thanks.

No the fees r not reasonable now, but they were set when the company was making 50m per year. Even then it was high. 2014 was largely due to over expansion from expected orders from slr, but as the market crashed...

The slr market, so the machines bought were idle. But these machines were used for other products as the year passed by.

FLBHD's shareholder started selling share from RM1.30,but price keep raising till RM2.90

MAGNI's shareholder started selling from RM2.30,price also keep moving up till RM4.60 today,even after bonus issue

just 45day ago,CHEEWAH's shareholder started selling share from RM1.12,all the way till today,but the share today closed at RM1.90.

same thing happen on NOTION,MR.TCF sold his share at RM0.38-0.39 three month ago,but today,NOTION closed at RM0.435.

think harder, u should know rationale behind.

Don't want to say too much d, yes, blackout's figure is realistic, and is most probable. At best, it could be higher, or even much higher.

Jan RM is at around 4.4 and with RM strengthening, this quarter Notion will enjoy derivative gain again, as long as RM don't go beyond 4.40

For this coming Feb results derivative gain is based on 4.29 per usd the rate on 31 dec. For the may results we hv to wait for the end of march xch rate. Lets hope the RM appreciates but not too much. Weak RM good for xports com.

1.5 is a realistic figure.
Your 77m value is incorrect. At the end of december, the figure should be ard 50m
(Some of the contract is realized at oct, nov, dec)

So the actual formula is realized gains at oct, nov, dec ~7m of contract settlement per month + unrealized gain of ~50m marked to 4.29

The actual calculation is a bit more complex, there seems to be indication that the M2M happens on a monthly basis.... (so ignoring the actual much complicated calculations) sum of realized + unrealized is accurate at 1.5-2m

no further progress on increased sales or product lines for their automotive. They used to focus on antidisc for HDD, they can actually diversify to other parts of the HDD

What's ur expectations for the current q results?
Jan and now Feb, the forex is around 4.1x so very likely again derivatives gain for next q result too. US interest rate increase if happens in may or June will be perfect timing to push USD higher again. By that time notions derivatives will be almost finished, and gains in forex will be beneficial.
There is actually some signs that Notion managed to diversify its business in this year...(2015) so I'm glad to at least see that their excess machining capacity can still be put to use...

I am looking more towards their ongoing biz, as well as the ridiculous management compensation scheme they have going on.
