Margin call on ten million pledged Insas shares. Forced selling until Thursday.

Insas warrant didn't drop ?

TheContrarian

I think warrants are not allowed to be pledged. The selling today and probably last Friday are due to margin call in pledged shares not been met and are thus forced sold. Many counters are also facing margin calls.

force sale 10mil shares can easily drop the price to 80cent ?

Not necessarily all ten million shares will be forced sold, maybe half and then the part of the proceeds will be used to support the price.

How do you even tell that it is margin call? If it is, pretty sad for those playing on margin. QR cannot save them.

Potential buyers are staying away until after CNY. So, will be difficult to absorb the selling pressure from the margin call.

I sold off all Insas registered in my name back in July or August at 1.06 to 1.10 and haven't bought back any except warrants. Made over 60% on Insas. I am planning to buy Insas before CNY.

Can't go against the global trend. Wall Street has to stabilise first.

my advice to those holding long/ believers: do not sell yourself short once the QR is out, don't give discount entries to those spectating now. took the risk, deserve more rewards.

The New Catalysts for INSAS Bhd are

Others are:

4) Implement rules for Financial Education among Malaysian Youths. This was not taught in school.

5) In Spore the Govt tells all to invest in Real Estate through the HDB Plan. So Singaporeans mostly own their homes rather than renting

6) Singapore Govt also gave "Free SING TEL" Shares to all citizens above 21 year old to encourage savings by Investing in the Share Market. For Malaysia Govt could give 100 shares of Petronas to all Malaysians above 21 years old to encourage investment in the stock market

7) The share market is not a casino. It is a place for long term investment to prepare for retirement in old age. And as a Store of wealth for future generations. So like leaving behind a legacy

I am thinking, why would DS Thong want to take the company private if there are 265m WB outstanding. He owns about 1/3 of it. Isn't it cheaper for him to privatize the company after the warrants expire?

@Jarklp, 2020 is the key timing. It is best to dilute shareholder if share price is good. If share price is bad then just write off the warrant. Election nearer and uncertainty is higher. Malaysia have debt of around 50% gdp but government using 11% of revenue to service the debt. This tell a lot. Many super high interest bad debt which government need to service.

Thanks.

Dear uptrending,
I had send a Christmas cum New Year 2018 greeting, a friendly reminder on my request for cost of living/better dividend and Dividend Policy to be discussed during BOD Feb meeting and CNY greeting to: Dato’ Sri Thong Kok Khee, Dato’ Dr. Tan Seng Chuan, Dato’ Wong Gian Kui and Ms. Soon Li Yen. So far I had not received any reply from any of them. Maybe they are not allowed to reply any greeting or email without permission from Dato’ Sri Thong? Anyhow I remain hopeful that some of my request will be implemented and thus I am eagerly waiting for Q2 result and an official 55th AGM minutes to be published at INSAS website.
Note: I received a reply of CNY greeting form CSCSTEL executive director and BURSA (Corporate Surveillance and Governance Senior Vice President)

Thank you.

@TheContrarian, it doesn't work that way. Insas major different from Berkshire is that it doesn't own business that generate cash. Ya Inari make money. But Insas can't get enough from dividend. If they want cash, they need to sell, which make them less ownership and less profit in future. So, if stock market down suddenly, they not only not enough cash, will need to write off and lock in losses. Hence, Insas won't pay too much dividend, unless they have sustained cash flow. Now, they only have sustained expenses, but not income.

alooloo, Insas today is well diversified and does not depend on stockbrokering as it used to. Moreover, its cash at bank has steadily climbed up to over RM600 million.
