Dear all I support thecontrarian, I just sent an email to Insas, to request higher dividend like 6% dividend yield. Since the company holding so much cash and director took so much money annually but didn’t reward us as minor shareholders. This is very stingy , selfish and irresponsible. Company should having a better future together with us as minor and very supportive shareholders. Chinese man stingy management skill, only can be kampung champions.

That is exactly why Insas at such a low PE. They don’t have a good reputation but do make money. I won’t comment if their model is sustainable but they won’t give good dividends so no point writing to them. They are good in doing deals, so you can forget about it if you think they are going to do us any favors.

If you only look to value companies based only PE you would definitely be inclined to buy this counter. Think about all those stocks that are severely undervalued and why they are actually discounted by the investment community.

A lot of those are strongly recommended by Calvin Tan like MUI, BJcorp, Etc.

@ contrarian, Cash flow i mean business that generate cash that free for other usage, like Berkshire Hathaway, it steadily generate 2 -4 billions of cash every quarter even in bad time. Good time can go 10billions. That why, in short time, they have cash pile of 100 over billions.

Insas on the other hand, don't really generate much cash. They want cash they need to sell securities.

Read Warren latest shareholder letter, it is truly great to own his stock.

Few month back, i encourage many to invest in Berkshire due to 1 time gain from Tax reform and also potential future drastic earning from coming 2018 accounting rules change.

This is no prediction, it is just a logical analysis coming from what happening in US. Prediction take chance, but logical analysis only take time to come.

@ dunspace, i'm not so sure about your statement. For 2016 and 2017, Cash from Operation were negative. All the cash were coming from disposal of share or properties or plants.

There is an undeniable fact that the "value" in Insas is increasing every year, whether it sold its holdings in Inari to raise cash or otherwise. It will surely explode in time to come...

Some companies also did not pay good dividends for many many years and the share price remained low for ages but finally exploded. A good example is KESM which only paid 1.75sen and later years 3 sen per share annual dividend...even now the dividend is miserable against the share price... The profits were reinvested in the business and finally it exploded...

I BOUGHT KESM LONG AGO AT RM3 TO RM4 ONLY

THE LONG HAIRED GUY SAMUEL BOSS OF KESM WAS STINGY WITH DIVIDEND
OF FEW MISERABLE CTS. SO I SOLD KESM TOO EARLY. ONLY TO CHECK UP LATER THAT KESM ACTUALLY INVESTED ITS SURPLUS MONIES

SO BOTH INSAS & TA NOW ALSO INVEST LOTS OF SPARE CASH THAT WILL GENERATE LONG TERM INCOME LIKE KESM DID

He can be right but for the wrong reason. Someone who uses GROWTH RATE to promote Insas cannot be taken seriously...what a ridiculous idea with no knowledge of the nature of the company. Besides that, using NTA to show big discount is like telling people water is wet.

@alooloo, nature of Insas business, cannot see operating activities only, you need to include investing activities to get a better idea. As you mentioned that all the cash comes from disposal, that does not undermine their capability. To dispose of, you must first own and nurture which is part of their business.They have also been investing successfully overtime (fair value gain more than the loss).
