The story.
Insas is a well known value trapped.

The controlling shareholders Dato' Sri Thong and PAC together holding 32.96 % like to trap all the value inside Insas net worth with billion in cash, associate companies and liquid assets.

Insas need shareholder activist to unload the value inside Insas. As of when this shareholder/holders will come and unlock the value? No one know. Or can it be "ini kali lah"

Meanwhile smat investor TheContrarian love Insas for the below reason:
And me can only reasoning with BOD for a better dividend every year.

Insas is a counter where we slowly for months accumulate from 75 sen to 85 sen and then wait and wait and wait and wait for the lovely days where price finally spikes above RM1.10 to start taking profits.

@MrSslee, over the years when you raised your shareholding to over 2.3 million shares becoming one if the top 30 shareholders, I finally admit to myself that Insas is a value trap because if someone could accumulate do much and yet the price continues to drift down it can only mean Insas is forever a value trap.

I can't say tambah as I am also selling to take profit.

Most likely next round TheContrarian and me will only senyap senyap tambah when we slowly for months accumulate from 75 sen to 85 sen.

And leno will come out shouting Insas canteeeeeeeek when Insas-WC break thro' 40 cents.

I don't mind holding Insas if Insas dividend can match bank FD rate because I know Insas is unreasonable undervalued and may be I fine day some shareholder activists will come in and unlock Insas value.

By the way most likely BOD is working hard on getting Dato' Sri Thong agreement for MGO waiver for Insas to do share buy back.

why ah thong want to buy more insas share ?
he already has maximum amount of insas share.
buying more can do what for him ? Nothing.
He also got maximum amount of wc and preference shares.
If given waiver, how much insas share should he purchase ? another 10% ? 20%? 30%?
Doesn't this reduce amount of public share ? And who want to buy more insas share with have so little public spread ?
U are ah thong, will u buy more insas share or keep your money to buy other share? Inari ? M&A ? or others coming potential company ?
Everytime buy insas share has to fill in new form, call up new EGM, write and apply for waiver just to buy a few more insas share ?
Who want to do that ? NOBODY. Even dumb people will not do this.

Then who going to give waiver ?
What reason authority want to give waiver to ah thong?
why MGO is a regulation at the first place?
TO PROTECT MINORITY shareholders mar.
U asking ah thong to ask authority to waive regulation to protect minority share holder?
U first must all minorities approval lor.
U think one or 2 ikan bilis allowed to represent all minority shareholder ?
I say no. Raider say no. All our associates who owns insas also say no.
So how leh ?
U are greedy and dumb lor.
Only tok kok without thinking.
U better go buy more xinquan shares lor.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH !!

Waiver is to allow share buy back without triggering an MGO. Ah Thong doesn't have to spend a sen, minorities don't have to spend a sen.

Company should not do share buy back.
I tok about this last time lor.
Insas use to do share buyback and distribute the share.
I end up with 90 odd lot insas share.

I screw ah thong, and threw my selipar at his face.
Why u spend insas money to buy insas share, paying commission to bank, paying stamp duty, paying tax, then distribute the share to share holder, making life so difficult to all the agencies. And once shareholder receive the share, he go sell, and pay another round of stamp duty, commission and tax. U no feel DUMB meh ?

Simple scenario,
insas got zero share but 1 million cash,
insas go buy 1 million insas share, and give the share to shareholder,
insas end up with zero insas share, and zero cash.

why cant insas simply distribute 1 million cash instead?

why u want to spend 1 million to buy insas share, then cancel them ?
U just spend 1 million cash for nothing ?
Not only insas just pay money to someone who sell off insas share, and now cancel the share so that nobody can buy them, and insas end up less share and less cash ?

I dont want to tok anymore,
it is useless to tok to dumb people.

Insas ending up with less shares will enhance its value to RM6 meeting your target price.

leno

6,167 posts

Posted by leno > 2024-01-18 12:57 | Report Abuse

I say this to ah thong, and since then Insas stop share buy back, and only give dividend. This save Insas a lot of time, unnecessary expenses, EGM, useless paperwork.
All this saving, ADD more VALUE and common sense to the company.

SO, BOD will be spending MORE time finding new investment instead of wasting time buy share and distribute share or applying for MGO waiver.

If Insas value canot be unlock then most likely WC will expired out of money in 2026 as what happen to WB in 2020.

So invest in WC at your own risk.

However, Berkshire's third-quarter buybacks were significantly lower than other recent quarters. In the first quarter of 2023, Berkshire spent about $4.4 billion on buybacks, and in the second quarter, it spent another $1.4 billion. But in the third quarter, the buyback pace slowed even further to $1.1 billion. Since buybacks are generally indicative of management thinking the company's stock is attractive, is CEO Warren Buffett trying to signal something about Berkshire's current valuation?

Is Berkshire dumb to buybacks Berkshire shares?

So, at the end, if u buy insas, u must understand
u are buying into a share investment holding company
that use cash to invest, that will be holding other companies shares
receiving dividend from this shareholding activities,

It is easy for me to make money from insas because i understand all these.
I knew insas inside out, upside down, left side right.

I bought since insas was 40 sen.
My net worth has increased 10 folds.
without the need to write long long letter every year.

If 2024 is really turn out to be a bull market, perhaps buying WC is a good option. Risky , for sure if it turns out to be another uneventful year. WC will then perhaps suffer same fate as WB.

U see, i retired from medical practice at 39 years
and become a full time investor.
There is not much difference between me and insas mar.
We are both investment holders.
I do what insas doing.
Insas do what i am doing.
No ?

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH !!

The other old man is different.
U keep acting like share holders.
Imagine your wife keep asking u for more cash to buy more handbags.
Imagine your wife teaching or advise u on how to invest.
Imagine your wife writing long long letter to u asking u to apply for waiver.

Then come someone telling your wife, hey .. if u think other men are better, just simply divorce and married other better man mar.
U think insas is not good, no need write long long letter, just sell and go buy more xinquan or something like xinquan mar.

MAUHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH !!

@MrSslee, now that you have sold down your significant holdings it's best to look for other counters to invest for greater returns. Insas would be great to buy back again at around 80 sen.

It is also a FACT that leno had been shouting Insas canteeeeeeeeeeeeek.
Insas RM 3, 4, 5, 6 kambing kambing.
And I still waiting waiting and waiting

By the way holding Insas is save because of deep value and giving yearly dividend but holding WC once expired on 2026 out of money you are going to lose everything.

What? Leno is back? Aihhh... you should stay hidden... Insas so cantekkkkk when you stay hidden.... hehehehe

Still holding mine and dont plan to sell regardless the price... this increase is nothing... even when mco drop to 30c, I still hold it. If I had 10k in Insas, at most Im losing RM380 interest compared to FD. I'm planning to hold until the day Dato Thong think it's my final days, and distribute one time special divvy.

Mr Sslee, when you accumulated over 2.3 million shares even Ah Thong didn't feel threatened, he kept the price for long hoping that you would give up.

Sslee

Ah Thong would not notice me. Someone must be a substantial shareholder 5% then everyone will take note.

I think my first encounter with Ah Tong is in 2018 AGM where I argue for hours with Ah Thong to give a better dividend to no avail. But I am suprise after AGM Ah Thong resign from the post of CEO and Dato' Wong take over the post of CEO.

I already give up on Insas when Insas annouce RI in 2021 RPS with free warrants. I thought another Xingquan cash rich but still cash call RI if not for leno telling me Insas reward the shareholders with RI.

So I fully subscribe my full entitlement with 10% excess application. True to leno saying insas share and wC suddenly shoot up and I sold all my RPS and WC to accumulate more Insas. The rest is history.
