The most important is the factors govern its profitabilities! That make the difference between great investor n the average or more often below average!

Final hints....

At cpo price rm2000 /mt, tsh will growth 70% of its profit in the second half if compare to the same corresponding periods in 2013 ..when cpo price fared much better ! see how far my prediction out of track!

What would happen to the price if that materialize!!! Even after the approval of bonus proposal. ..what about in the next 3-4 years...comes to think of it...tai atuk huat lah!! Kikiki

The emphasis is on "INVESTMENT".

1) In The Early Days of Planting Oil Palm

These Are The Investments

1) Buying Agricultural Lands (In Sabah Mr. Liew MY Friend Bought RM500 per acre - early days.
In Johor Mr. Bub pays RM50,000 per acre - about 10 times more expensive.)

2) Monies Spent in Clearing the Forest & To Make Roads To Facilitate Planting

3) Monies Invested in Quality Oil Palm Seedlings - price has gone up now.

4) Cost of Labour & Fertilizer in initial years without Fruit Bunches as yet - at least 3 Years.

I am more concern on the abilities of bjcorp to pay the 6 billions debts with annual bank interest of 350 million. Any increase in interest rate will have significant impact to bjcorp. The bank interest alone will eat all the asset of the company if continue like this..

calvin, to me, BJCorp is valuable only if its selling asset to raise cash. It has too much debt, and even if its assets are undervalued, they are either not yielding much or VT is too good at cooking the book to hide the profits. Look at its profits for the past few years, only three words to describe, bad, poor, miserable.

Calvin, at this discount level, so long as BJCorp takes drastic action to sell unyielding asset to raise cash and improve profit margin of those core businesses, it's still worthy investment, probably worth at least RM 1.00 per share.

Its fair to say that you dare to differ, just not blind or deft. Otherwise, given my exposure to BJCorp in my portfolio, I would not be far behind from you. And surely, I don't want to be called blind or deft. Stubborn, guess its needed if you were to invest...

Calvintan, don't affect by datuk. Stick with your own plan, BJCORP is a very good gem. Result going to release soon. At least 200mil profit will show in this quarter report. Many insider that related to Berjaya has start accumulated BJCORP.. No one can confirm when it will shoot up, but at least we can confirm they are preparing for it.

BJCorp dropping from 1.00 until today since it had a cash call to privatise Cosway with issue of BJCorp LD and warrants.. this happened in April 2012. I believe It will be bak to 1.00 when it relists Cosway again in one day. However, the recent developments may be likely to prompt it recovering towards higher prices... but no one can predict wht will be happening on next days (like 911 events) but if 3395 is undervalued .. it is sure tht it will bak to the optimum prices... If I m not wrong, 3395 lowest prices during Euro Crisis 2009 was around 0.48 to 0.51...as well...therefore, the spring is now on full compression and you just cannot press them much furthers...this proved by last qtrs. when it announced the impairment loss of 250 mil... and it didnt hit the prices too much...except it adjusted back to 0.47...level from 0.52...

cfoong made a very good point. Even in very bad market, BJ drop to only 0.47. So assuming it will drop to 0.47 again, what is ur risk . 10% ? versus the upside of 70, 80 or 1.00. To me it sounds like a perfect punt with fantastic risk v reward ratio . All the best everyone invested.
