Rafizi outburst: A Great Disappointment Rafizi Ramli blew his top after Tun Dr Mahathir appointed Lim Guan Eng as Finance Minister, Mat Sabu as Defence Minister and Muhyiddin Yassin as Home Affairs Minister without consultation with the other 3 coalition parties according to his version.
I have no problem with him feeling disappointed or even angry. It is okay. But as a politician, he should know better. He should keep his emotions and response on the Prime Minister’s announcement to himself and his colleagues. After all he is not the Ibrahim Ali or Jamal Jamban type who is always looking for publicity or going on an ego trip or trying to score cheap points.
Once he puts his views out in the social media, he must expect the public to put his position under the microscope and to question his claim and the motives behind it.
Why did Rafazi blow his top?
In the public feedback over the internet and whatsapp, there must now be tens of thousands of responses. I estimate that at least 90 percent of the responses that I have read have criticized Rafizi and his sidekick, Member of Parliament, Wong Chen; questioned their political maturity; expressed disappointment or said that they must have some selfish motives such as wanting to become the Finance Minister; etc.
One of my friends, Dato Chew Soo Ho, a retired high court judge, wrote to me the following
I thought d appointment of d 3 ministers was with d blessing of Anwar. Rafizishould check b4 making public statement. Further, appointment of ministers is d prerogative of d PM; Rafizi has no locus standi to say that d appointments were not finalized when d PM has announced d appointments. It’s timely for Ambiga to tell Rafizi to stop it. Any grievance should breferred to his party & not taken publicly particularly at this early & critical time.
As for me, my disappointment is more personal. Until his outburst, I was so impressed by Rafizi’s speeches that I told my friends that he would be the Prime Minister one day.
In fact, when he came to Ipoh to appeal for donations for his defence, I donated Rm 50,000. He has been appealing for donations for a long time and many people have donated. He must have collected a few million Ringgit.
Some people now may be saying that he should tell us how he has spent the money or they will complain about it in the same way he is complaining about Tun Dr. Mahathir – no consultation, simply bulldozing, etc.
Tun Dr. Mahathir: The Game Changer Pre and Post GE14
Let us all look at the larger picture.
Without Tun Dr Mahathir we could not have changed the corrupt BN government.
PKR and Pakatan Harapan would have continued being in the opposition and there will be no ministerial positions to fight over or any other political spoils to share out.
I cannot see anything wrong for the Prime Minister to appoint the best three people in his judgement to the critical ministries he prioritized in the interest of the country.
Why rush to judgement and complain about the “unhealthy attitude of Malaysians never to question authority” and to bracket Tun Dr. Mahathir in the same company as ex-PM Najib and Rosmah?
Tun Dr Mahathir has amply shown that he is a changed man who intends to spend his remaining years undoing the damage to the nation – including that which he himself was responsible for.
Rafizi is a nice guy...who have sacrifice alot for msia election success today mah...!!
His outburst is to protect keadilan & malaysia...seeing mahathir make announcement without azizah mah....!! He thought azizah had just walkout....he did not know mahathir is going to brief anwar in prison loh...!!
The fault is partly lies wuth azizah, as a deputy president...she should have stayed & complete the press briefing b4 just simply rush out to meet anwar mah....!!
Mahathir use to be a dictator, of course Rafizi is worried & need to guard against loh....!! Thus it is just a small matters & misunderstanding loh, why u people so sibuk, want to talk bad of rafizi leh ??
i saw this statement in Q&A for AGM. "HRC’s principal market is the domestic market, where over 90% (by volume) of the company’s refined products are sold in Malaysia. The remaining 10% of our production, including naphthalene and propylene, are exported elsewhere in Asia."
Since HY sold 90% to Malaysia market (mostly is subsidized diesel and gasoline), then i know that of course HY is selling as market price to Shell and Shell get the subsidy back from government. But then because of subsidy need to be given to people, then of course Government will try nego a more cheaper price from shell, and in return shell will pass some of the burden to HY. So it will also impact HY revenue and then profit. Remember HY sell 90% of his product as per the statement obtain from the Q&A AGM.
The new PH government & New PM TUN M has been BUSY rounding up those that has been abusing their position wrong doings cheat on the rakyat of Malaysia.
Same for the Manipulators (the major owners & their 4 issuers -brokers/of call-warrants of HengYuan price H K M Q) who were insiders of corporate announcements(profits/dividend) and sold down in concert the HY price from 15.00 (27feb2018) to 6.02(04apr2018), let the " newly repent civil servants" @ regulatory authorities wake up and conduct serious investigations into the 4 brokers accounts/computer-systems audit-trails during the said period. Sure jail-cases!!!!
Prediction : Manipulators now doing 11 trading-days of pushing up till Mon 28May to 12.50. Another round of con-man price-manipulation!!

Let us work with him, not against him
