Cut away all unnecessary expenses and be moving forward with the mega projects... Especially sabah, phase one and two LRT with the China conglomerate... Except phase 3 and MRT need review the expenses it be moving forward... Projects along already CN last 2021...review can take their time.... Crack spread update as at 18 May 2018:

a. Prices at 18 May 2018 close:

MOPS Mogas 95 - $87.882
MOPS Gasoil - $91.052
Brent Crude - $78.51

3:2:1 crack spread = ($175.76 + $91.05 - $235.53) / 3 = $10.42


b. Crack spread based on FIFO of 1 month inventory.

Brent Crude (18 April 2018) - $73.48.

3:2:1 crack spread = ($175.76 + $91.05 - $220.44) / 3 = $15.46

The annual report 2017 reveals:

1) Full impact of 24% tax on 2018 profits is expected, as tax losses and reinvestment allowance had fully utilized in 2017.
2) Major turnaround maintenance/shut down takes place in 2018, biggest since 1953, last was in 2015.
3) Rise in average current cost of stocks/feed stocks is very much faster and higher than that of the average crude oil prices.
4) The Notice of AGM agenda said the Board is not going to approve the requisitioned final dividend of 43.5 cents and a formal dividend policy of at least 15%, due to tight cash flow in 2018.

I will consider to buy the shares in a year later, and sell stocks on hand before the company announces the 1Q results this Thursday.

i'm not so smart to do the calculation. I remember when fuel price was high, shell losing money big time. If my memory served me right la. SO now fuel already going up to USD 80/barrel. Then there is a shutdown coming. This 2 is the bearer of the bad news already. Then gomen locked the fuel price. Not sure good or bad. Good if gomen subsidize the difference. Bad if gomen also trying to lower the gomen spending and therefore will squeeze refiner margin? That 1 i dunno but looking at above 2 negative news+ 1 not sure positive or negative news. I think i wun touch 1st unless my sifu say buy base on TA......let see how le.
