EPF disposed 17.4 million shares on 31 May, but the price moved up 2 sen from 0.930 to close at 0.950 on that day. EPF may have miscalculated in some ways (they r not always right).

IN 2008, YTL net worth is RM7.7 billion. Last year, YTL net worth is RM14.8 Billion. The net worth has increase 1.9 times since 2008. Now the market price is around 0.73 times net worth of the company. Easily, can make 30% if we privatise the company, and sell all the assets minus the liability.

Newbie917 You are right. The old style handshakes will not do. The bidding will be open and very competitive. On the other hand there will not be any finger pointing and politicking such as what happened to YTLPOWR after they built Paka and Pasir Gudang power plants. They came under constant media attacks for many years. The reputation got so badly affected that till today not a single power plant for them ever since in Malaysia.

The sell side is waning and with support from efp and yeohs so should be a good entry point again. Suggest to hold till major trend reversal which is yet to happen but it has bottomed out.

Current market capitalisation is greater than RM10 billion.
It's a large cap stock.
Even if the share price drops to RM0.10, it's still a medium cap stock.
