Also upgrade existing route whenever possible should be considered a first choice since it is very much cheaper and practical at this stage.., even it China, many existing railway line being upgraded and speed increased gradually.. India also upgrading several line from 110km/h to 160km/h and now with plan to increase the train speed to 200km/h with improvement/modification to existing track, signaling system, switches, train etc., Despite that INDIA is still proceed on the Mumbai Ahmadabad HSR with USD17Billion loan from JAPAN. But despite such Big loan with very low interest rate, INDIA is not rush to or very slow to grab the 0.1 % interest loan...?? Is INDIA worry about the 50 years repayment or something else?

YTL Corp. has been exercising 4.6 million shares buy back everyday since 13 Jun 2018, plus the Yeoh family continue to buy up 2.6 million shares almost on daily basis. Also, recently EPF acquired 18.9 million shares of YTL (on 8 Jun 2018). So, u think.... y r they continuously acquiring YTL's shares? They must have insider information that we do not know. The only thing we know is they keep buying up millions of YTL's shares everyday (this itself already almost guarantee the share price going up & up). Cheers everyone!

The yeohs been buying daily and the company itself have billions of cash to do shares buyback so can expect they want to make share price returning to where it was before GE14. This is evident if u been observing how they keep pushing up share price and buying every single day and announcing every morning through bursa website.

I also say why need HSR from KL to Singapore? Why cannot use Komuter? Modern komuter could reach 200km/h, I think it is good enough, and the ticket will be much cheaper than HSR.
