the food business is big business,

just look at Texchem

however the food business is very management intensive
example Texchem just screwed up Tim Hoh Wan by removing normal cut chilli with roadside hawker stall cheap chilli and reduce portion size by 20%, both are fatal errors.
Tim Hoh Wan just died completely after these so called "minor adjustments"
I used to eat every day at Tim Hoh Wan but blacklisted them after the 2 changes.
you pay RM50.00 for breakfast you dun wan roadside hawker chilli.
you pay RM50.00 for breakfast you will get angry if suddenly portion size become so much smaller still hungry after paying RM50.00

look at Texchem revenue, its huge, They made losses because of sushi king.

If I comment on sushi king,
I can write Masters level thesis already.
Suffice to say used to eat sushi king easily 20 times per month until quality deteriorated so badly got fish bones inside sushi.
Immediate blacklist.... coz before the fishbone already so many thing unhappy, fish bone inside sushi on conveyor belt was the final straw.

AA aspires to be the leader in travel and lifestyle. All the new startups actually fit into this vision. It's just a matter of how well each startup executes and contribute into the overall Airasia.com platform.

Why do you think Facebook acquired Instagram and Whatsapp? Why did Alibaba expands from ecommerce to cloud tech, fintech, entertainment, hospitality, streaming, etc? Or why Amazon created Web Services, PrimeTV, Echo, etc.

When I lived in the US some 25 years ago they already had virtual banks (no physical locations) operating and I didn't hear any problems at all, although the choice was very limited (savings only).
