HANOI: Vietnam’s prime minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc says the country will not rush to open its borders to foreigners as it strives to prevent a second wave of the novel coronavirus outbreak that has hit other countries, according to a post on the government’s website.

Phuc said the country was not going to open up to tourists yet and the travel of foreign experts, high-level workers and investors into Vietnam would be closely monitored, according to the post.

Allowing Vietnamese people to work abroad will also be watched closely.

“There is no story of rushing to open the doors, ” Phuc said, adding that those allowed to enter Vietnam must continue to adhere to isolation requirements.

Vietnam had said earlier this month that it was considering the resumption of some international flights to and from destinations that have had no novel coronavirus cases in the past 30 days, according to a statement on the government’s website.

Officials have also discussed some flights between Vietnam and countries such as China, South Korea and Japan.

Vietnam’s aviation authority has cautioned against the gradual resumption of international flights until the fourth quarter. — Bloomberg

Bank can give loan with gov guaranteeing it, question is, can they make money? will they still lose money and for how long? If this bleeding continues for years, there will not be another loan.

With gov all over the world bailing out their airlines, this means every single airlines will be throwing prices to grab market share, after all, it is free money by their gov. When prices goes lower and lower, how can AirAsia competes? they are already operating at a tiny margin.

I have been waiting for ages for AA to drop to 60 sens. Even my awesome stunning Blonde Hair is now turning to White waiting for my 60 sen. Today, I gave up waiting and I decided to collect and Top Up by AA Position. Thanks for selling to me.

Sure everyone in town knows that AirAsia is not going to profit in near future and I'm as eager as everyone here to see the latest QR-to see the extent of the damage done from C19..

I'm buying just to do my part to help AA...in my small little kitty way...They need the market cap and so they shall have it. In addition, I have also bought the unlimited travel passes to get the airlines up on the air.

I used to chase this stock when the price was ranging between RM 2.50 to 2.88. I believe this Airlines has been badly hit already and I have come to term that the share price will hold above 80c given the sentiment as announced by TF this week.

Time to get our Airlines up on the Air ...
