PP is for sure base on the current situation....diversify into other business...sure they gonna make loss...cause they are not old hand in this game....lagi banyak loss....
the only thing that can save this counter is COVID cepat over....that is it....dont think diversifying other business...gonna fail....

Guys just want some clarification on the RCUIDS, hope some Sifus can shed some light on this;

I pay RM0.75 for RCUIDS
I get 8% profit per year for 7 years (8% of RM0.75 is RM0.06 per year)
After 7 years i get back; RM0.06 x 7 years = RM0.42

I am still short of RM0.33 (RM0.75 - RM0.42)

Let say I hold for 7 years (maximum tenure), I then convert to the mother share for a strike price of RM0.75 (Additional RM0.75, different from the RM0.75 I paid 7 years earlier for the RCUIDS), which means after 7 years I need the share price to be at least RM1.08 (RM0.75 + RM0.33) to breakeven*.

Is my understanding correct?

Note: "breakeven*" is not including any profit (if any) from the warrant

Asean is slow because of the vaccine supply that is slow to reach here. More supplies will be available soon. It’s the matter of time we get our lives back. Hang on! We’ll be back sooner than other Asean countries. AA will grab more market share domestically.

You only pay one time rm0.75 for the rcuids. Don’t need to pay again to convert.

You can also sell when it’s listed at whatever the quoted market price is or sell back to AA at the same price for rm0.75

You basically WILL NOT lose money.

You are guaranteed 8% per annum for 7 years. However you can convert to mother share anytime from 4th year onwards. Once converted you will not get the 8% anymore from the remaining year(s).

For every two rcuids you also get one free warrant.

@machoman888 - In_Sight has stated it well, essentially, no need to pay more to convert from RCUIDS to ordinary shares. But please bear in mind that AA will start redeeming the RCUIDS from the 4th year onwards (25% for each of the 4 years, starting from Year 4). So if you hold until end of tenure, there'll be almost nothing left to convert. If you want to convert ALL of the RCUIDS, you need to do so before AA starts redeeming them.

Technically this is still a RI to raise fund. They make it a “debt” so they can repay shareholders 8% per annum otherwise just straight do a normal rights issue which is easier. Why the hassle? Because they need to reward those who believe in them including all the other MAJOR and minor SHAREHOLDERS.

They even allow you to sell it back to them at cost price from 4th year onwards. So ask the so hai. How can you lose money? Always get info from reliable sources not from trolls who bark simply and spread dumbness.

I say spread dumbness not spread lies anymore because I realized they actually are not lying. They just don’t even know they are wrong.

Do you know what’s the meaning of filing for bankruptcy? Go study first. AA won’t file for bankruptcy. A good management will never do that. AA can sell of their business or businesses. Worst case scenario just like how they able to sell of their leasing companies / plane maintenance division / travel magazine & media company etc to create cash and value for the company and pay out as special dividend all these years. If nta is be all end all indicator then it would be easy to make money isnt it? All these numbers can change they are not fixed. Some can change very very fastz Top glove pe is 0. Is it a super good buy? Nestle nta is 3 but trading at 133. Is it super overvalued? Go figure.

I think many of us who bought AA here especially since the dip is because we share the same view of many other investors including 5 million shares that transacted today and every other day. Especially PP investors which include urusharta jemaah which is and arm of Ministry of Finance.

Just go read the news/interview why they choose to invest in AA. Our answers will be more or less similiar.
