@Mabel i don't think its going to immediately hit AA the moment the oil price surged..they have fuel contract to obliged isn't it..my guessing is that the price will move on for a while until RM1.40 before sentiment of oil price gets kicked in & smart money started profit taking

Yes keown. I agreed with you. Previously, they have done between 50 per cent and 60 per cent of fuel hedging when Brent was hovering circa USD 30++

With the open up of economy, this positive sentiment will outweigh the high Brent factor.

(a) Forward Foreign Exchange Contracts
As at 30 June 2021, there is no outstanding amount for forward foreign exchange contracts.
(b) Interest Rate Hedging.
As at 30 June 2021, the Group has six (6) interest rate swaps with an outstanding amount of US$173.4 million. These interest rate swaps are entered with one (1) counterparty and will mature between 2028 and 2029.
(c) Fuel Hedging
As at 30 June 2021, there is no outstanding fuel derivative contracts.
