Changing name is just a 1st step of coming big plan, Capital A is expected to announce series of news or changes in coming days or weeks.

Yes one on them is on PN17 status.

To recap, as part of the PN17 relief measures implemented by Bursa Malaysia and the Securities Commission Malaysia, AirAsia was earlier granted an 18-month grace period to be exempted from the PN17 classification, which will due on 7 Jan 2022. The company guided that it is currently engaging the authorities to seek approval for further extension of its grace period.

As at 30/9/2021 AA total equity negative RM 5,903,468,000.
What will be the total equity at 31/12/2021?

Lol people are losing focus about the Capital A name change. AirAsia as a brand is not gonna disappear. Just the parent company will change name to give people a better picture of what AirAsia is doing now. Think Google and alphabet; Facebook and meta.

what is the point of glove companies making profit for 10 consecutive quarters, share price still dropping, many dare to buy at RM9 and not daring to buy again at RM2.3 now, why? The problem is not how much a company loses, it is the market sentiment and expectation

To be honest, I doubt those veterans invested in CA has much concern about PN17.

Tony and Kamarudin each injected RM250+ millions for new right issue while knowing their company will face or cannot solve PN17 issue and eventually going bankrupt soon? If you think they are dumb, then I prefer to be a dumb with cash RM250 millions. "Unfortunately" also the poker king Stanley Choi is still holding up his potion, he could be another dumb that not running away, maybe he does not read the news AA or CA is facing PN17 issue soon.

Glove is because of sudden big capacity expansion from everyone especially the China glove plants. So supply will be higher than demand and ASP is dropping.

So is AA still the king in the sky?
Or already cannot compete with new kids on the block budget airlines coming up in Asia?

AA India and Japan gone.
AA Indonesia and Philippines will not be able to compete with local Indonesia and Philippines budget airlines.
So Capital A aviation most likely with AA Thai and Malaysia. If Thailand going to have their own budget airline then can AA Thai compete?

And AAX?????

Dunno if AA still the king of sky, at least it was still crowned ast World Best Budget Airline for xx CONSECUTIVE years up to 2021.

Mind to shed some lights who are the new kids so daring to join budget airline sector soon in Asia at this moment of time? Interesting to know these new kids daring airline companies and they deserved some reserches.

Light777,

I am unable to see the staged photo-op in AA's Facebook page. The page contains mainly complaints by angry customers who have been denied of their ticket refunds.

And where does the money, that was used to purchase food and necessity, come from? From Tony's pocket or donation boxes.

p.s. Did you ever pass English at the kindergarten level? Or, did you repeat kindergarten for the past 20 years?

These airlines have been existing for years already, where got so-called new kids "coming up", and which of these airlines are not facing finacial issues to survive like AA

Haha, SSlee, i already warmed the investors here to run when Airasia was above RM 1 but many don't believe as i am one of the naysayers and now the price is 80sen.

However i bet on Airasia loan stock by buying LR at around 2 sen and subscribed to loan stocks as it was very attractive and worth the bet. I have sold all free warrant during first trading day at 22 sen. If i sold my loan stock today, my profit will be around 13.5% (ie 11sen/77sen), a good return. I told readers here i will buy and bet on loan stocks.

A million question : Should i sell my loan stock at 75 sen today and continue to receive 8% interest per year?

Can airasia doing its AAX way to repay its creditors?

Tony needs to have another magic to get Airasia out of PN17. and He has invested heavily on this loan stock.....

Posted by ValueInvestor888 > 2022-01-04 14:51 | Report Abuse

Airasia is holding well at 80sen. It is a fair value for now in an efficient mkt whereas if we look at NTA it is worth nothing. There could be something in the company we don't know...

It also has few superapps that can monetize via IPO etc...

AirAsia’s two largest shareholders, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, have committed to undertake all of their entitlements under the RCUIDS issuance, and are expected to fork out RM257.27 million for the purpose.

Will old fox Tony fork out over RM 250m to invest in a bankrupt company?

Those who subscribed to RCUIDS, no one ever knew if these 2 rich foxes (TF and KM) would have subcribed or not before the subscription results published, how they based their decision on these 2 foxes decision. Therefore those daring ones who subcribed to RCUIDS deserved a chicken rice after selling their free warrants.

Now we all knew these 2 foxes had fully subcribed, then this fact will supposed be taken as an indicator for all investors to evaluate AA before they act, not limited to only few.

Yeah it's weird, they should solve their PN17 issue first before talking about overtaking Grab & Gojek. Top Glove also talked about overtaking Maybank.

Grab & Gojek have been burning cash for market share. Hopefully AA has the cash to burn.

So far haven't seen any airline with similar ambition to take on Grab and Gojek.

AA have to realised that both Grab and Gojek are making billions in losses annually.

Why go into a biz that makes losses?

A weird decision by Tony in view his current airline biz is already struggling to stay afloat.

Is it pride or is it just trying to please the shareholders that he has a plan???
