Cumulative 6 months end 30/6/2023
Revenue: RM 5,680,844,000
Depreciation of right of use assets: RM (680,187,000)
Finance costs-lease liabilities: RM (405,059,000)
Finance costs : RM (132,454,000)

under MFRS 16:
(i) On the Consolidated Income Statement, expenses which were previously included under aircraft operating leases will be replaced by finance costs – lease liabilities and depreciation of right of use asset;
(ii) On the Consolidated Cash Flow Statement, operating lease rental outflows, previously recorded within net cash flow from operating activities, are classified as “net cash flow used in financing activities” for repayment of principal of lease liabilities.

Finance and Lease Cost = 1,217,620,000/5,680,844,000= 21.4%

Sslee DickyMe What asset was liquidated?
07/10/2023 11:26 AM

Answer:
Aircraft Operating Lease Income

With the purchase of these huge purchase planes to fund their regional ambitions, as stated previously, Airasia, the Group Company now had a new income stream that would grow far more profitable than expected.

It would not be unreasonable to say that by 2016, this has grown to be their second largest revenue and largest profit contributor.

Without it, the Airasia Group would be lossmaking.

Externally, this also caused huge headaches with accusations by GMT Research that Airasia was only profitable due to the leasing of these planes resulting in profit transfers from unprofitable regional Joint Ventures, to the group holding.

Internally, i’m sure the other joint venture or associate partners did not feel comfortable about this as well, as it could be seen as Airasia Berhad milking the associates for all its worth.

This culminated in the sale of the planes and the leasing business

28 Feb 2018 (Completed 31 Dec 2018) – BBAM Limited Partnership / FLY RM 9,775.6 million and RM 262.3 million (82 Aircraft and 14 Engines)
24 Aug 2018 (Completed 8 August 2019) – Castlelake L.P. USD 739.5 million (RM 3,559.5 million) (25 Aircraft)
25 July 2019 (Completed 31 December 2019) – Castlelake L.P. (RM 1,240 million) (14 Airbus A320-200)

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 9):
Tile manufacturer Seacera Group Bhd, a Practice Note 17 (PN17) company, has until April 24 next year(2023) to submit its regularisation plan to the regulatory authorities for approval.

In a bourse filing on Friday (Dec 9), Seacera said Bursa Securities, via a letter on Thursday, had granted the company the further extension of time, while failure to do so will see it being delisted from the local stock exchange.

At the noon break, Seacera had fallen 3.13% or half a sen to 15.5 sen apiece, with 350,000 shares traded.

Seacera fell into PN17 status in April 2019, after it defaulted on a payment of principal and profits to AmBank Islamic Bhd. The group’s total facilities outstanding with AmBank were RM22.15 million at the time.
Regularisation Plan was waived 👍

Seacera soars 90% after exit from PN17 status
Tile manufacturer was uplifted from PN17 status at 9am today after receiving a waiver from Bursa Securities.

Seacera Group’s shares hit an intraday high of 39 sen, up 18.5 sen or 90.24%, in the morning session.
PETALING JAYA: Seacera Group Bhd’s shares surged as much as 90.24% to 39 sen after it was uplifted from its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status today.

The ceramic tile manufacturer and trader hit its intraday high of 39 sen, up 18.5 sen from 20.5 sen at yesterday’s close, in the morning session.

It pared its gains to close seven sen or 34.15% higher at 28 sen, valuing the group at RM167 million. A total of 26.99 million shares changed hands today.

The group was allowed to exit from its PN17 classification at 9am today after Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd (Bursa Securities) granted it a waiver from having to submit a regularisation plan yesterday.

“After taking into consideration the relevant facts and circumstances of the matter, Bursa Securities has resolved to grant the company a waiver from complying with the Main Market Listing Requirements which requires a PN17 company to submit a regularisation plan to the regulatory authorities,” the group said in its bourse filing yesterday.

Seacera had applied for the upliftment from PN17, a classification for financially distressed companies, in April this year.

The company fell under the PN17 classification in April 2019 after defaulting on a payment of principal and profits to AmBank Islamic Bhd. The group’s total facilities outstanding with AmBank were RM22.15 million at the time.

For the nine months ended June 30, 2023, Seacera’s net profit rose 19.52% to RM5.31 million, from RM4.44 million a year ago. However, revenue for the period declined by 27.81% to RM39.68 million from RM55.22 million.

I was naive then as I thought Bursa and SC should take action to protest shareholders' interest.

As a retail investor I depend on Bursa and SC to protect investors’ interest by taking stern action against market fraud/manipulators. External auditor, IBs Banker as principal advisor, underwriter and placement agent for IPO, RI and PP to perform their due diligence and fiduciary duty in auditing and preparing the company Annual report, IPO, RI and PP Prospectus.

By the way, it was a pleasant experience in meeting with Mr and Mrs Koon Yew Yin. They are very nice people in person.

At least I contribute positively to the general good of investors on my many complaints on Xingquan.

I still remember my first complaint to SC and Bursa on Xingquan with the following:
I was shocked that the CEO was allowed to lie through his teeth with impunity during the AGM Q&A session and the external Auditor and Independent Directors danced to the CEO tune.

I also complain bitterly why I should pay Xingquan Company Secretary RM70 to get a copy of Xingquan AGM minutes, can’t they publish it on Bursa or the company website.

Attachment 3: Xingquan AGM minutes for all to see for your-self what I mean by CEO lie through his teeth with impunity and external Auditor and Independent Directors dance to the CEO tune

I am more that grateful and thrilled when I read the below link:
https://www.sc.com.my/api/documentms/download.ashx?id=b59a0f5d-c414-4c27-b1c2-37ad15072d47

Annual General Meeting CORPORATE GOVERNANCE CHECKLIST FOR SHAREHOLDERS
Co-author by SC, Institutional Investors Council Malaysia and MSWG
Since then I can see a sea-change in the way AGM was conducted. My many thanks to SC, Institutional Investors Council Malaysia and MSWG

Will SC and bursa working together with Institutional Investors Council Malaysia and MSWG come up with CORPORATE GOVERNANCE CHECKLIST in addressing?
1. How listed companies should respond to news, IBs analyst report and investor enquiry.
2. IBs analyst should include the briefing material, transcript of Q&A and interview as appendix.
3. How to prevent abuse of impairment of receivables to whitewash accounting fraud or siphoning listed company money to relate party, friendly party or to own private company
4. Should SC informed the complainer the progress/status of complaint lodged with SC and Bursa (case still active or close with no action)

AAP: Oct. 5, 2023.
AIRASIA PHILIPPINES targets to sell about half-a-million seats to air travelers by the fourth quarter amid stronger demand for foreign travel this year.

“AirAsia Philippines continues to herald the return of international tourism through affordable and convenient flights. In fact, we see our performance on international flights increasing to half a million seats sold before the end of December 2023,” Steve F. Dailisan, head for communications and public affairs at AirAsia Philippines, said in a media release.

As of October, the budget airline said that it sold about 300,000 seats for travel in the next 90 days for Taipei, Incheon, Osaka, Narita, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.

“We hope to flourish in the APAC (Asia-Pacific region) next year as we open more destinations following the increase in aircraft fleet,” Mr. Dailisan said.

CapitalA Bhd.
Highlights of 2Q2023 Aviation:
1. Encouraging trend in international travel activity boosted the aviation business segmental revenue to RM2.9 billion and an EBITDA of RM405 million. In 2Q2023, the Group recovered 77% and 74% of 2Q2019 passengers carried and capacity.

2. Average fare of RM205, down slightly by 4% YoY as more capacity available in the market, yet remains above 2Q2019 level by 15%. The lower fares are complemented by an increase in ancillary revenue, where ancillary revenue per pax stood at RM49, leading to RASK of USc 4.22, 17% lower YoY.

3. CASK and CASK ex-Fuel, which stood at USc 5.01 and USc 3.32, continued their YoY downward trend having record 28% and 26% lower compared to same period in prior year, as the Consolidated Airlines achieve cost efficiency in aircraft maintenance, staff and user charges in tandem with increase in capacity.

4. Despite a 95% increase in flight numbers, the overall fuel cost managed to stabilise and increased by only 61%, aligning with a 31% reduction in average fuel prices. However, aviation costs for the quarter have risen driven by 133% YoY increase in maintenance cost. This is attributable to higher aircraft maintenance reserve funds provision, alongside growing consumable cost in tandem with increasing flight frequency.

Of course, many don't understand reassessment n remeasurement, P/L, it don't wanrrant u guys to judge it's Magic/Fake accounting.
As long company is leasing assets, lessees/lessors, there are ROU(Right of Use Assets), can be revalued.
So there are P/L. Reassessment/Remeasurement.
Both amount can be big, for CAPITALA, with so many aircrafts.
Stony has a Degree in Accounting, his advisor/CFO understand better(Chartered Accountant).
Please don't keep on trolling n barking at the wrong Tree LOH!?

Financial statements are all reported on time, if no then surely suspended n delisted.
I don't have time talking wih u guys, trolling revengeful, hateful, n telling everyone here CAPITALA, is insolvent n will be liquidated n delisted.
We shall see the outcomes LOH!?
Coming 3 weeks time, we will hear from Bursa SC.
Any downtrend also good for me LOH, I have been holding AAGB (CapitalA), since 2018.
Wasting time in this forum, with few sadists, who enjoy taking revenge on others, within minutes, if they don't like your comments.

Listed companies need to submit their quarterly financial report not latest then 2 months after qurter end date. I have not see any financial quarterly report not accepted or rejected by Bursa SC.

Agree with i3lurker, CapA financials tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth that CapA is making heavy losses.
Especially the forex loss RM1.5 Billion will become more than RM2 Billion losses by end 2024.

Note: It will be RM 2 billion by end 2023 if RM to USD weaken to 4. 8

Presented with same set of financial figure/data most likely than not Company IR/Management and IBs Analyst will interpret the figure/data not by their professional unbiased opinion to tell the truth but by their biased view bending the truth to accommodate company or IBs vested interest narrative as fact

This is why there is this saying “Figure don’t lie, but liars figure” I can’t blame the Company IR/ Management or IBs analyst as they get their salary and bonus from their employers. Hence it is important to make IBs analyst and Company IR/Management accountable and answerable to investors’ enquiry

Yes, Cap A's financials are real and tell the whole truth.

For every available seat kilometre, Cap A's revenue is USc 4.22 and cost is USc 5.01

So, for every available seat kilometre, Cap A has lost, and will continue, to lose USc 0.79

Cap A has stated unequivocally that they will lose money flying. Period.

[
Cap A's cost per ASK is higher than Scoot's cost per ASK.
So, Cap A is not a true low-cost carrier. More of a low-revenue carrier
Maybe a remeasurement exercise will increase revenue
Stony was previously 100% ugly. After a remeasurement to 99.999% ugly, Cap A's revenue gets bumped up by 1.3693 billion
]

_______________________________________________ Cap A ____ SIA ____ Scoot
Revenue per avail seat-km (US cents/ask) : ___ 4.22 ____ 8.32 ___ 5.4
Passenger unit cost (US cents/ask): ___________ 5.01 ____ 7.01 ___ 4.53
Passenger unit cost ex-fuel (US cents/ask): ___ 3.32 ____ 4.38 ___ 2.99

Street Term for a Good stock, not TA or FA but its price can climb every week. I think Captain A is taking
a 3 months Rest & Recreation Break. Most likely Drift below 80 sens
