Since when investors in CapA become religion, all religions are based on faith; that is belief without evidence. There were no rationalizations in religion. If Stony tell you capA PN17 is just an accounting issue, you believe. When Stony tell you PN17 regularisation plan will be ready by 7 Jan 2023, then 7July 2023 then 7 Oct 2023 then 31 Dec 2023, you also believe. When Stony tell you Q2 end June 2023 Gain on remeasurement of previously held interest RM 1,369.258 million, you also believe.

But then why you do not believe that CapA financials is real and tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth that CapA is making heavy losses?

i3lurker No wonder the panic guy claimed stony is a liar
and stony produces fake accounts showing massive losses...
If CapA accounts show massive losses,
why should panic guy claim that CapA making massive profits ????????????????
and panic guy claim that stony lied and commits criminal fraud????????????????

should be called panic weird guy instead.
Likely liar and criminal fraud is the panic weird guy instead

CapA financials show CapA make heavy losses, no money to pay lease rentals.
Nothing fake about CapA financials
CapA financials show the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth

What happens next after Israel-Palestian worst conflict in 50 years?

Oil price and US currency?

The current situation is fluid. And where would oil price go depends a lot on how Israel responds to Hamas.

1. If Israel concludes that Iran is behind, be prepared to see oil price above USD 100-120 per barrel.

2. US is expected to tighten up sanctions on Iranian oil.

3. Due to inflation fighting, the US has been closing one eye on Iranian oil exports. Iran oil exports surged in 2023.

4. When the world is at war USD will strengthen.

So my advise avoid capA.

This Hamas / Israeli War is going to last as long as Ukraine War---USA is sending Battle Carrier Group---
Iran / Russia are supplying weapons to Hamas just like EU/US supplying Ukraine---In the End thousand of
Plestinian will be Killed---Isreali will most likely WIN but at a great Cost
Cap-A will be a collateral Damage due to spiking Oil price

MYAirline says CEO Rayner Teo stepped down due to health reasons

Business Times has learnt that there have been a number of resignations in MYAirline in the past few months including the departure of its chief financial officer and chief commercial officer.

Sources said a heated town hall session happened last Friday which then saw Rayner tendered his resignation.

It was unclear if he resigned during the town hall session or after.

MYAirline is also believed to not pay its services providers and employees' salaries on time.

The payments were said to be often delayed. The carrier's ambition to introduce new destinations by year-end to Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam has yet to materialise.

UOB KAY HIAN (SEPT 21): The return to full capacity is on the horizon as the group anticipates the full reactivation of all grounded aircraft by end-2023. We had earlier factored full capacity by 4Q23 into our projections. The group had only reactivated a total of 166 aircraft as at end-2Q23, bringing seat capacity to 78% of 2019 levels.

We believe that Capital A is poised to deliver its first post-pandemic quarterly earnings in 4Q23, underpinned by the fully reinstated capacity, coupled with an elevated airfare environment despite potentially higher fuel costs (up by about 32% since end-June 2023) amid the rise in crude oil prices lately. The increase will be passed on to customers via fuel surcharges and higher airfares (averaged RM205 in 2Q23 versus RM178 in 2Q19), therefore mitigating margin compressions.

The finalisation of the PN17 regularisation plan is still underway, scheduled to be submitted in 3Q23 and executed in 4Q23. As it needs to record two profitable quarterly earnings consecutively, we estimate that the group will exit PN17 status earliest by 3Q24. Maintain “hold” with a higher target price of 88 sen from 85 sen previously.

Quarter 1 end 31/3/2023
Group Revenue : RM2.5 billion
Group EBITDA & Profit after tax : RM502 million & RM26 million
RASK, CASK & CASK ex-fuel : USc 4.51, USc 4.49 & USc 2.54
Activated aircraft : 157 (142 operating and 15 spare aircraft)

Quarter 2 end 30/6/2023
Encouraging trend in international travel activity boosted the aviation business segmental revenue to RM2.9 billion and an EBITDA of RM405 million.
The lower fares are complemented by an increase in ancillary revenue, where ancillary revenue per pax stood at RM49, leading to RASK of USc 4.22, 17% lower YoY.

CASK and CASK ex-Fuel, which stood at USc 5.01 and USc 3.32

So simple question if your RASK is USc 4.22 and CASK and CASK ex-Fuel, which stood at USc 5.01 and USc 3.32. Do you make profit or lose in flying people?

@sslee, Nahh... CapA got a lot of other business besides flying people, for example like the santan, super app, teleport and the newly found "Remeasurement Business"... Why only focus on the business that making loss?

@geary, Yeah, agreed with you. But I think you're being conservative. If the remeasurement business is sustainable , and assuming 10% growth each quarter for the remeasurement business:
1st Q: 57M
2nd Q: 1.118Bn
3rd Q: 1.23Bn
4th Q: 1.35Bn
FY '24 record profit 3.755Bn

Then, I would like to proposed Tony to sell his loss making flight business, and focus solely on the remeasurement business. After few years, easily can fully repay all the debts.
Lastly, change the motto from "Everyone can fly" to "Shareholder can fly".

xskyriver, hi...Not every quarter has Remeasurement Profit. U can check every quarter n analyze it.
Be Conservative is right, to minimize Margin of Error 🤔

Accounting for lease remeasurement–lessee:
Publication US Leases guide 5.3
A lessee should reallocate the contract consideration among the lease and non lease components, remeasure its lease liability, and adjust the related Right-of-Use Asset, upon the occurrence of certain events.
How the lease liability is remeasured and the right-of-use asset adjusted will depend on the reason for the lease remeasurement; in some cases, it will result in an entry to profit or loss. A lessee may also need to do one or more of the following depending on the reason for lease remeasurement:

1. Reassess whether a contract is (or contains) a lease.
2. Reallocate contract consideration
3. Reassess the lease classification
4. Update the discount rate used to remeasure the lease liability.
5. Account for initial direct costs, lease incentives, and any other payment made or received in connection with a modification to a lease in the same manner as those items would be accounted for in connection with a new lease.

The current quarter recorded a gain of RM1,369.3 million from remeasurement of an associate to subsidiary, Asia Aviation Public Company Limited Group (“AAV”), in June 2023 and foreign exchange loss
of RM158.6 million due to the appreciation of USD against the local currencies of the Group during the quarter.

The foreign currency translation difference in 2Q2023 of RM 1,576.9 million recognised in the foreign exchange reserve, mainly arising from translation of lease liabilities and receivables/prepayment denominated in USD.

All the lease liabilities, current, non current maintenance and prepayment for maintenance are in USD. All USD borrowing and the above will be remeasured each quarter based on quarter USD to MYR exchange rate. If year end USD to MYR rate is abt 4.8+ then the foreign currency translation difference most likely will be RM 2 billion.

Teleport and China’s SF Airlines to cross-share logistics network
October 2, 2023 Nur Suhaila Mohammed Kamal -

Partnership with SF Airlines strengthens connectivity between China and Southeast Asia, and opens new opportunities to the U.S. and European markets

SF Airlines gains access to Teleport’s logistics capabilities to support international expansion into Southeast Asia

Kuala Lumpur, 2 October 2023 – Teleport, the market leader for air logistics in Southeast Asia, and SF Airlines, China's largest air cargo carrier by fleet, have signed a bilateral interline partnership to leverage on each other's extensive air network to better serve their respective customers – Teleport brings to the table deep logistics access into Southeast Asia, and SF Airlines the largest express network within China and outbound into European and North American markets.

This partnership has already moved significant cargo volumes for customers of both parties on the combined network.

Teleport, the logistics venture seeded by Capital A Berhad is actively adding third-party airlines to its air logistics network to expand into key airports such as Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok from China, while extending network reach into new markets such as Europe and the United States.

Pete Chareonwongsak, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Teleport says, "This partnership is in service of our continued efforts to add valuable third-party airline partnerships to Teleport. We are looking forward to supporting SF Airlines to expand their cross-border product in Southeast Asia.”

“In turn, our partnership with SF Airlines, the largest cargo airline in China not only strengthens our regional connectivity within China but also extends our market reach into Europe and the Americas, connecting our network globally beyond Southeast Asia. This will help us better serve our customers needs, deepen our end-to-end capabilities, and ramp up our ability to scale our business to better serve the region.”

“This collaboration reflects our relentless commitment to revolutionise air logistics in Southeast Asia and beyond – to provide our customers with a faster, more affordable, and uncomplicated go-to choice to move things across Southeast Asia, and now globally.”

SF Airlines operates a formidable fleet of 84 freighters serving 90 global destinations, both present and past. Their international network includes destinations in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, among others.

Li Sheng, Chairman of SF Airlines, added, "We're delighted to partner with Teleport, a market leader in the Southeast Asia region. This partnership allows us to deepen our network access into Teleport’s wide network reach and frequency into Southeast Asia as well as key Asia Pacific markets. We look forward to this partnership in further strengthening our commitment to continuously expand and strengthen our air-logistics service capability"

Teleport is the current market leader by volume of cargo moved across Southeast Asia and boasts the largest air logistics network in the region, utilising the surplus belly space of 204 wide-and-narrow-body AirAsia passenger aircraft. Additionally, Teleport inducted the first of three Airbus A321 Freighter (A321F) aircraft in July, to further solidify its leadership position in the region.
This collaboration will be CapitalA (Teleport), unprecedented earnings growth prospects 🤔
Imagine, a week of National Holiday in China, Changi Airport cargo volume down #40%!?

AirAsia ADE(MRO):
Where are the Market Opportunities?The Increasing Trend of Outsourcing MRO Services Allows Specialized Providers to Tap into a Growing Market;
1. The burgeoning trend of outsourcing MRO services presents a significant opportunity for specialized providers to enter and thrive in a growing market. Airlines increasingly opt to partner with third-party MRO providers due to the expertise, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness these providers offer. This trend allows MRO companies to extend their services to multiple airlines, broadening their customer base and revenue streams. Independent MRO providers with specialized capabilities can offer tailored solutions for different aircraft types, enhancing their competitiveness in the market. As the aviation industry continues to expand, the demand for reliable and efficient MRO services is set to rise, creating an environment ripe for providers to establish themselves and meet the evolving needs of airlines.

2. The Rise of E-Commerce has Boosted Air Cargo Demand, Creating Opportunities for MRO Providers
The surge in e-commerce has led to an increased demand for air cargo services, presenting opportunities for MRO providers. Air cargo operations require aircraft that are maintained at optimal levels of performance and reliability to ensure timely and secure transportation of goods. MRO providers can capitalize on this trend by offering specialized maintenance services for cargo aircraft and related systems. Efficient maintenance practices contribute to reduced downtime, increased operational efficiency, and enhanced safety, crucial factors in meeting the demands of the growing air cargo market. By catering to the specific needs of cargo operators, MRO providers can position themselves to benefit from the continuous expansion of e-commerce-driven air cargo services.
This is another big earnings growth prospects in CapitalA.

CapitalA (ADE) closest competitors are in Singapore, SIA ENG n ST Engineering.

Myairlines has suspended its operations, so it's likely that demand for AirAsia will be up up up

Passengers from Myairlines get their refunds, buy air tickets from AirAsia.

Orderbook of 362 aircraft to be delivered over the next 12 years, beginning 2024. Of the 362, financing is secured for 73 aircraft through Sales and Leaseback (SLB) arrangement with several lessors.

So capA unable to get bank borrowing to finance the aircraft order and need to finance thro' Sales and Leaseback (SLB) with lessors.

So someone actually do not know what is lease liabilitiees and ROU.
Do he know what is
Finance costs – lease liabilities
Depreciation of right of use asset
EBITDA
Cash ow from operating activities
net cash flow used in financing activities

By the way under MFRS 16:

(i) On the Consolidated Income Statement, expenses which were previously included under aircraft operating leases will be replaced by finance costs – lease liabilities and depreciation of right of use asset;
(ii) On the Consolidated Cash Flow Statement, operating lease rental outflows, previously recorded within net cash flow from operating activities, are classified as “net cash flow used in financing activities” for repayment of principal of lease liabilities.

My understanding on myairlines news is insignificant to CapitalA. Myairlines took away few flights from AirAsia unless it is more than 10% of AirAsia turnover.

If Bursa reject capA request for the third extension to submit PN17 regularisation plan to 31 Dec 2023 then Bursa Securities shall suspend the trading of the listed securities of the Company on the 6th market day after the date of notification of suspension by Bursa Securities and de-list the Company, subject to the Company's right to appeal against the delisting

It only show CapA did not make money flying people.
RASK is USc 4.22 and CASK and CASK ex-Fuel, which stood at USc 5.01 and USc 3.32.

CapA need to compete with region low cost carriers.
Scoot, Jetstar, citi-link, firefly, Cebu Pacific, Lion Air, Batik and etc
