Just a quick summary from the collection of thoughts from the scientist/medical-practitioner, not politicians :-

1) Scientist still do not know Covid well
2) Normally a safe and "highly" effective vaccine will take 10 years or more to develop
3) Covid is mutating very fast
4) Covid is too widespread
5) FDA and WHO consider to release the vaccine with minimum 50% efficacy, with the "hope" to control the spread, not putting an end to it.
6) Vaccine production, distribution and dispensing will take 1 - 2 years
7) Increasing number of people growing skeptical against this fast-track vaccine, about 50% of the western population and will not take the vaccine even if that is available.
8) Quite likely minimum 2 shots would be required (at certain interval) and re-vaccination on annual basis like flu shot would be required, yet actual production/distribution is unable to meet this schedule.
9) Cost wise would burden many third world countries in the long run though many are shun by the subject

Going forward, assuming a safe vaccine with 50% efficacy is conceived in 2021 (and we would be damm lucky to have 50% efficacy vaccine by 2021), Covid is able to be brought under somewhat but not total controlled (nor stopped/eliminated) in 2022/2023. Please take note that 50% is based upon clinical trial and without regard of the efficacy in actual environment and also against new variant that will surface along the way. Major outbreak will take place from time to time, and from one place to another, while high alert remain in place throughout. PPE remained highly in demand with the SOP remain in place, just like the stricter airport SOP remained till today even though Sept 11 incident is long gone. Just a small Covid cluster will catch the global headline. Glove demand will remain high after 2023 though may not be at the level during its peak. Leadtime may reduce from 12 months+ to probably 5 - 6 months, as compared to 1 month or less in pre-Covid era. Therefore, ASP remain high, probably at today's or next QR level (since they have merely increase 5% ASP in last QR), instead of further escalation.

Harta will see bombastic earning next QR after another and may only taper marginally from 2022/2023 without taking into consideration of patented Anti Microbial Glove or AMG (which is schedule to be approved by FDA this year) and additional supply from new plants coming into operation successively in next couple years i.e. Plant No.8 to 12 in NGC and new NGC2.0 in Banting, your guess on the TP is as good as mine. We have to acknowledge post Covid will not be the same again like the Sep 11 incident and in Covid case it impacted the whole world. Vaccine and glove will complement each other, not one or the other. Please note that Malaysia Rubber Glove Manufacturer Association (MARGMA) forecast 12% annual growth of global demand for glove under normal case. That is too say the glove manufacturer will see higher and higher revenue.

A more realistic expectation is that a highly effective vaccine would be conceived in 10 years time when the scientist get to know more about Covid-19 and how to fight it. By then, all glove manufacturers would have at least double its size and world demand had grown exponentially (based on 12% annual estimate by MARGMA). Hopefully we don't have to deal with another new outbreak.

The reason y glove stocks react to all negative news is because it had already factor in all the good news. Hence the rally. So every slight negative news will bring the price down. Today glove closing is not strong.
I think might have another sell down tomorrow before rally again I guess.
Maybe rm12 for harta n rm19 for top glove?
