At one point the seller disappeared if you monitor closely, U can see the the sell volume is just minimal. Some one (1 player) is trying to manipulate the stock price. If about fundamental, then the stock shd have been corrected in the previous months but why now? Haha

Hi sifu philip, any idea on the news report regarding glut that will affect pchem returns? Citibank is rating a sell and revised TP of 7.20

The research house noted the de-rating was due to lower return on equity of 11% and weaker earnings uplift from the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid) expansion versus consensus.

It also said that PChem’s monoethylene glycol plant would be a key drag as it will be barely profitable due to massive glut, as well as weak China buying sentiment.

I have been averaging down by a huge amount so far, in the long run all I can say is PCHEM business will be OK. if it goes down to RM6 I will be getting 5% returns on dividends, 32 cents and growing dividends.

Just enjoy the discount day while it lasts. Chase now and not when the share price climbs to RM10

Citigroup downgraded pchem from neutral to sell & tp at 7.20
Morgan stanley has also revised tp for pchem to 7.5
Many more to come due to low earnings expected
Recommended purchase price is any amount between 7.2 to 7.5, any amount above these prices are not hugely not recommended and invest at your own risk

hi guys...just want to give my 2 cents..

i did say that there is a reason that the earnings will be bad when i exited above 9 earlier even before the fire breakout..

the earnings reported did reaffirm my opinion

and, now it makes me even more convinced that it will take a long time before it can report reasonable earnings...

The results of the Group’s operations are expected to be primarily influenced by global economic conditions,

which have a high correlation to crude oil price, particularly for the Olefins and Derivatives segment.

of feedstock as well as utilities supply. The Group will continue with its operational excellence programme and
supplier relationship management to sustain plant utilisation level at above industry benchmark.
Olefins and Derivatives
The Group anticipates that Olefins and Derivatives segment to remain comparable in the coming quarter. This
is in view of sufficient supply, supported by stable end products demand with the upcoming festive season.
Fertilisers and Methanol
The Group expects that Fertiliser and Methanol segment to remain comparable as supply resumes after plant
turnarounds coupled with existing demand from the end products segments. There are also two new methanolto-olefins plants expected to start up in the next quarter.
