Methanol exports down by 70% as stated in dosm report. With pengerang offline and methanol volume sold hit hard, can expect pchem to be underperforming for the rest of the year. Can see pchem shed back almost all the gains since march at 5 or below.
Petronas commits to RM1.3b in sales tax arrears to Sarawak!!!! "Assistant Minister of Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali said the subsidiaries, including Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, are directly involved in the sale of petroleum products in Sarawak.
“These subsidiaries, identified by Petronas, are in the process of being registered with the Comptroller of SST as taxable persons who would be liable for payment of SST to the state government,” she said in a statement."
@Titan I am not very sure but based on my research - pchem's only operation in Sarawak is producing urea and ammonia in Bintulu. Anyway, it seems petronas carigali sb is owned directly under Petroliam Nasional Berhad.
IB said buy. then buy at discount with safety margin not buy at premium. Wait for rm5. Can?
Profit drop from 1.12bil to 0.18bil show the margin squeeze like hell. Price has to adjust downward. wait at lower is safer. 5sen dividend is nothing if price can drop rm1.
Very disappointing results due to covid 19. Just don't know when can recover from covid. Dividend also all time low. They should give slightly higher dividend eg 8-10 sen given high cash balances if they expect business to recover. Very stingy. Only medical related stocks like glove is doing well.
more IB come out with lower TP price. why? overvalued at current price. QR EPS 2sen only. what happen next QR also at same EPS? Is this worth RM6? maybe rm4 also possible?
Expanding again? New plant need how many years to complete? 3 yrs or more? more Capex than mean lesser dividend payout in the future with profit margin squeezed. better wait for lower price if you want buy and keep for longer term. more discount coming as no fund willing to buy except ASB?
