Note that the warrant is the Only bank warrant of 10 yr duration listed on Bursa currently,the rest are all structured bank warrants of 1 yr or less duration.Thus the high premium accorded to the warrant is justified.

For me, bimb warrants is a gift from heaven. It's net profit of RM500m makes it smallest bank in town (same level as alliance bank).

Meaning there is plenty of room to grow.

Let's be conservative, just assume bimb grow by 30% over next three years. Mother share will be 4.34 * 1.30 = 5.64

Assumed conversion premium of 20%, it will be 6.77. Fair value of bimb warrants = 6.77 - 4.70 = RM2.07. Upside of 218% !!!

I think the fund who sold the warrants took the money and bought more mother shares !!!

Since they sold 70m units. They get RM42m proceeds. Meaning they can buy back 8m to 10m mother shares

More upside coming : )

Ktjaven I went in at 60 sen. Now is only 64 sen. Don't think it has moved that much. Can still go in.

But needs to take a long term view, just in case it doesn't go up immediately

If you can hold BIMB-WA (5258wa) for 1 to 3 months is good enough, you will be able to have good return,at least about 50%

BIMB mother will continue to go up .......... if you buy the warrant at current price you will stand to gain a lot if you can hold for 6 month to 1 year.

ktjaven, why bother to exercise the warrant? It has a long life....10 years ! Just keep the warrant till the mother rises to RM 5 to 6 then jual lahh....

Ktjaven, no need to think too much. This warrant can buy. Two good things (1) long tenure of ten years (2) high gearing ratio. Gearing ratio is mother share price / warrants price = 4.34 / 0.64 = 6.8 times. The higher the gearing ratio, the more "sensitive" the warrants. In bimb case, every time the mother share goes up by 1%, the warrants goes up by 6.8%

If you put the two together, the warrants is both "safe" and at the same time "sexy"

anyway, I am a long term guy. So i am cool even if price came down. At 66 sen now, it is unlikely i will lose money over the longer term.

having bought enough BIMB-Wa, I am now at peace with myself. Chuck it aside and come back to look at it in 3 years time

that is my philosophy
