Actually, under YTLP sbb, the maximum number of share purchase is 10% of total volume, but if these treasury share is cancel/distribute back as share dividend/resell to open market. YTLP sbb shall entitle to further purchase and/or hold such additional number of share as shall not exceed 10% of total issue and paid up capital

honestly, i hope the shares were bought by ytlp.. It shows the determination of ytlp to collect, something big will happen with that kind of agresive buy. If buy by sharks, nothing but goreng-short term money.

that is the advantage of big share holder, they use warrant to convert and sell before retailers.
its not a fair game for us as we only can sell on monday.

Just having a thought.
What if Yeoh family disposed of big blocks a few months back to a friendly party.
Then by pushing up the YTLPOWER BHD using SBB. Then the friendly party can offload the warrants at a higher price.
'No announcement' needed by now.
Long shot, say YTL Warrant is expected to be worthless as they have some reason to believe YTL Power is worth less than RM1.22.
Its like turning 0 cents to 60 cents. This would make more sense than the gain on conversion ?

Lots of thing to consider
1) What are the merits of combining YTL and YTLPower. If the answer is yes. Then no need go through 2 & 3.
2) Need to consider YTL Power earnings, balancesheet and most important asset quality. Their broadband business is a drag. The rest are great. 1 Bestarinet can turn around broadband ? If yes, YTL Power is still great.
3) If dividend yield to continue outperform future FD rates and with earning increment, then not a problem too.

Please do some homework first, EPF last sellin was on 20 Sept, still retain 6.8% and at that time treasury share at 1.25%. There is no more announcement from EPF already and yet the treasury increase to 3.42%, as much as 2.17% is confrim buyback NOT from EPF.
