Inventories Sept 18 was 319,530 an increase of 52.628.
But cash and bank balance increased from 324m in Sep to 426m in dis 18

Despite Padini's strong brand here, but surely this year's TP of RM5.50 is a bit on the high side, isn't it so?

Competition is dragging down Padini's sales, and more & more ppl purchase clothes online via Taobao, Lazada, or if brick-and-mortar shops, Uniqlo & CottonOn?

Unless Padini increases its div, it would be a bit difficult to convince the bulls to push share price until RM5.00 this year, with the markets in such bearish state.

Guess you may have long time never go shopping complex. I saw the one in one utama & starling are playing the same device like what you said in Bonia shop.

By the way, I quite agree what you say in principle, the staff at swatch shop are normally much busier than the one worked in Rolex outlet.

Agree on weekdays, it’s the same. Weekends it’s different. Especially festive seasons, it’s crazy. But margin compress is the real deal. Let’s see how the management transform their capabilities into results then. So far they out perform their peers.

Padini will continue to grow. It targets the masses, especially the Malay community, with very affordable apparels, yet delivered a gross margin of about 40%.

During economy downturn, many will flock to Padini Stores or the Brands Outlets to save.

It is a complete different ball games as compared to other more pricy premium brands or stores..

Bought more on Friday early morning.

My tp 5.50+.

Competitive business but still able to grow its revenues and earnings.

The few Padini and Brand outlets I passed by are well patronised.

Padini is facing strong competition from online beside intense competition in the retail space like H&M, Cotton ON, LOL, Uniglo, Forever 21 etc loh........!!

you see Uniqlo fashion is different from Padini
Uni is more fashion and they have 4 seasons clothes

PADINI not really fashion lo
also don't have fashion clothes
if expand to overseas , PADINI level is low class clothes only
if go Cambodia, Arab area maybe high class
if go China, HK, Korea, SG ...habis , PADINI is low class brand

the design of PADINI clothes and fashion is not up to the taste & quality yet for overseas so they dare not expand to more countries (only stick on Cambodia & Arab only)
