By the way, hv any announcement on the Anasuria repairs? I wonder has the critical component fix and has the production resume 90%. Also, why does the Q4'21 Anasuaria tax is 11.1% but then Q1'22 is 34.7%? Any idea? End of special tax exemption?

Brent crude futures rose above $88 per barrel on Monday after briefly dipping below $86 in the previous session, as rising geopolitical tensions stoked fears of supply disruptions, while OPEC+ continued to struggle to raise output. Meanwhile, the International Energy Agency said last week that the OPEC+ missed its production targets by 790,000 bpd in December as members like West African producers Nigeria and Angola struggled to raise output.

The chart above is natural gas price. Repsol is 50% gas. Which is considered cleaner energy for the green activist. Good for my kids.
But for me, my main interest actually in the price. As said by Petronas CEO lately, natural gas price has increased from average less than $3 to now $20 plus. Now, if my knowledge is correct, cost per barrel of oil around $20, at $80, that's 300% profit. Natural gas cost around $2 plus and $20 that's 800% profit at least.
Palm oil cost around RM2k and at RM5k price already pecah lah.
You learn maths right in school?

already add at 86.5 sen and 84 sen. no more money to add some more. i thought the announcement was interesting as Hibiscus paid less $73 M. i hope this was income from Repsol asset while waiting for completion of acquisition. if it is then the purchase is very attractive.

bought more also - with the earlier crps the acquisition is almost fully funded with no credit lines required so should be now hitting their bottom line.. at US$80+ a barrel with growing demand I'd wager they make RM500 million+ this year.. if not more.. so at 84c with market cap at 1.6 billion its a bargin.. if you aren't carrying any debt, have RM750 million in cash and receivables already, with more piling up every day what will you do with it all... whats more the repsol asset was an absolute bargin and just added RM1billion+ to their asset base...

rattynz The funny thing today is market did not even blink at this acquisition. It is as though just another day, with today's price of crude as the main determinant. All i can say is WOW !!! These are indeed unusual times. With Repsol assets adding 2/3 of updated Hibiscus , WOW !!! the market is really sleeping on this.
