Also read that OPEC+ is falling short on supply.. It can't ramp up to meet demand, especially Africa, as they've not maintained infrastructure investments (but I'd also guess neither does opec really want to ramp up..).. Oil at 100 anyone? All plays into Hibiscus's hands.. Waiting to harvest

Looks like 2022 will be an eventful year for energy. Volatile for sure. Need to hang on to this wild beast. Hoping for the best. Got to go now. Cheers !!

1) For CY2022, estimated net production oil and gas for Repsol assets is 17,364 boe/day

2) Estimated Opex/bbl for Repsol assets is around USD 17.83/bbl , which is almost same with North Sabah asset

3) For Q4FY2021, with average realised oil price at USD72.07 per bbl, margin of net profit for North Sabah was 23.0%

4) For Q1FY2022, with average realised oil price at of USD75.00 per barrel, margin of net profit for North Sabah was 24.3%

5) IEA revises up 2022 average oil price assumption to USD79.40 a barrel on Nov 2021

6) Let’s say, for CY2022, Repsol will produce 17,000 boe/d with average realised oil price at USD79.40 per bbl, with margin of net profit 20%

7) Revenue for CY2022 = 17000 x 365 x USD 79.40 x RM 4.1 = RM 2,020 millions

8) Net profit for CY2022 = RM 2,020m x 20% = RM 404millions

9) 50% of Repsol assets is natural gas, which is less profitable if compared with crude oil before the crazy spiking up natural gas price in Europe and Asia

10) It is safe to conclude that Repsol assets will increase net profit of Hibiscus around RM 300m to RM 400m for CY2022

11) It is also safe to predict North Sabah and Anasuria assets will generate net profit around RM 150m to RM 200m with average realised oil price at of USD79.40 per barrel for CY2022

12) The average price-to-earnings ratio (PER) for Oil and Gas industry in Malaysia is around 14 to 16. So what is the PER of Hibiscus for CY2022 ??

If you look at glove stocks they were also like that in first few months of 2020. Then suddenly explode. Hibiscus has the potential to reach $2 - $3.00 by year end. That is if crude price stays above $80. But if crude price goes to above $100 then gonna explode also.
At around 2011 when crude oil was at $120 there was speculation the price may go above $200. But it did not happen. Never know if it might happen this time around. Never say it is not possible. Anything also can happen. Only those who have nerves of steel and can hold will benefit. Others will sell too soon.

Brent oil $88, Hibiscus 0.88c. Ini macam need to wait brent oil up to $120, oni hibiscus $1.20?
Ini macam tak betui leh......They only reason i can think of for this shitty performance might due to most of hibiscus asset exploration license expiring 5 to 10 yrs especially the repsol acqusition. So investor might worried it will not get renewed. But come to think of it, if it still yielding resonable output, I don't see why the gomen like malaysia and vietnam will not renew those license. It is no lost to them anyway. It just like leasehold houses. Usually it get renewed and of course you need to pay a chunk of it of the license renewal la....

Just hope there is no bad news coming from UK as decision by OGA should be by end of 2021.
So far no announcement on this.
1 good news + 1 bad news = ?

#In 2021, OGA had suspended review of the Field Development Plan (FDP) to develop the Marigold and Sunflower fields in the Central North Sea pending consideration of an alternative off-take solution for the area proposed Ithaca Energy Ltd (Ithaca)#.

That's looking at which of two options is more feasible for extraction.. I think that's definately going ahead.. Especially with uncertainty around energy supplies in Europe.. Marigold won't come online until end 23 at the earliest so no material effect to the business this year or next

Seems theres a lot of confusion as to the "discount" to purchase price about USD78m. I was informed that this was a dividend paid out by Repsol for 2021 which was passed on to Hibiscus. Hibiscus really need to explain in detail how amazingly good this acquisition is.

just take note the oil price may just a short rise as US may release more oil to market to calm it down rather let it add fuel to the inflation crisis.

timing is everything, there is never too late to buy or too early to sell. Never chase high. Chances are always there.
With CNY holiday around corner it is wise to sell now for profit and wait sideline.

If oil remains above 80, repsol aquisition could be fully paid off before end of this year. Refer to Aminvest report. Repsol stop clock was on 1st Jan 2021. From then on, whatever earning will be belong to hibiscus. If i understand it correctly, the final price Hibiscus pay for repsol asset is RM 138.7 by deducting the cash generated over the 1 year period. Meaning Repsol generated $75 million on the average of $65/barrel. Now oil is above $80/barrel. If it stays at this level, no need 1 year, fully paid off this asset. If that the case, this is damm good investment by Hibiscus management. Kudos to Hibiscus management

"The finalised purchase price for Repsol’s assets has been lowered by 35% from US$212.5mil to US$138.7mil cash from the distribution of dividends from cash flows of the acquiree since January last year, net of time value adjustments. We note that the finalised price is at a slight 2% below our earlier assumption as guided by management."
