LKY was a pragmatist, a saleman,a western trained legal scholar.He understand "rule by law",is better then rule by man(dictatorship),every thing could be fine.for example,hongkong, for more then hundreds year British rule, Hongkong prosperous,now under CCP rule , everything died.

If anyone crosses that red line they laid out, they will 200% invade Taiwan and cause terrible consequences in SCS if USA intervenes, I guarantee no amount of threat from QUAD or ASEAN will stop what they want to do. I understand how mainlanders think because I read their forum and I happened to be "friend" with a retired CCP official due to business. The only thing that's stopping them from doing it is an emotional charged REASON/EXCUSE. Don't let them have that excuse or reason then there will be no war in the region. That means Taiwan needs to keep low profile & drag this shiiitt as long as possible. let the future gen deal the the problem. Understood? Be pragmatic & realistic.

It's better for Taiwan to face reality and be pragmatic about their next move than to rely on Uncle Sam or allies. There is military base in South Korea to defend against North Korea. Tell me why there is no US/QUAD military base in Taiwan? hahahahahah stop day dreaming and face the reality. Only pragmatism can protect Taiwan.
