Massive bankrupticies or foreclosures will happen after Sept or delayed to take place even if moratorium is extended. Banks will see massive bad debts from individuals and SME. Banks have also massive exposure to oil and gas sector which will be in trouble if oil price remains low for extended period. Covid 19 causes big havoc here n worldwide.

Rumour about bank mergers surfaced before. Hong Leong and Public Bank are honestly much better managed solid banks which are unlikely want to get involved with GLCs. Airsia is too scared of merger with MAS...their corporate DNA are completeky incompatible.

Now the legal suit is to try recover at least something from someone, actually something positive because any recovery can reverse the provisions made, which is a gain
