I think if you want to make fast "goreng" money, the stock/Co must get alot Deal(confirmed) or alot of Cash like Gamuda/Kps on 15 April----Nowaday ikan bilis are much smarter than CalvinT, they
came for some scraps and run like hell

Today KLCI closed at 1624 with 15pts down. The lowest since the last 3 years. Many counters suffer set backs. Despite this set back, TalamT still maintain at 0.05.

Well done everyone.

ECRL price tag cut by 32%. Profit margin is just "white Bone". If follow the original contract, even
railway tracts & workers are supplied by China ( even Indo workers are cut-out now)

deal anyway( nothing loss Except JLow missing his huge commission )
Pls bear in mind CCCC is used to works on 2-3% profit margin on China Rail projects ( i don't
think they even care---all political decision )

Malaysia on Friday said it had a signed a fresh deal to proceed with the stalled China-backed East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), after months of false starts and contradictory statements from Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s government on the future of the multibillion-dollar project.
The prime minister’s office said the price of constructing the first two phases of the rail link would now cost 44 billion ringgit (US$10.7 billion), down from the original cost of 65.5 billion ringgit.
The new agreement “will pave the way for the resumption of the East Coast Rail Link project,” the statement said. “This reduction will surely benefit Malaysia and lighten the burden on the country’s financial position”.

ECRL waste money only. You think Malaysia don't have a similar freight system. We already got one called inland Dry port (extend from Port klang to Ipoh or Taiping) Already operating 10years ago--
Nobody mention anything bcoz it is losing Money And Perak is still the poorest states( according to KYY )

I used one time only and "pui, pui " at the Added Charges-----used lorries better and faster

It's actually our call after doing our own research. Calvin has been helpful and I salute him for sharing his views. Likewise I also appreciate the contending school of thought.

It's a healthy discussion. It makes this forum interesting.

The only issues here is there's a change made by the government after their negotiations

Anyway, Syabas to PH G for saving this country 21.5 Billion. That's a lot of money.

Since many have bought, it would useful to see how we can maximize the investment we have made. I'm sure talam can still benefit in some shape and form. All is not lost, at least I made few more friends over here.

Looking forward to hear more on Monday.

It certainly great feeling to be part of this success story to reshape our future.

ECRL announced yesterday go through Jelebu-Bangi-Putrajaya to Port Klang as opposed to ECRL under BN pass through Serendah. So Talam a big loser.

Tun Daim immediately do a Victory Lap when he said the Deal Saved 21.Bil----I think ECRL will
loose another 20Bil in 60 years (operating Loss) Did KTM makes any money since inception 60years ago( loosing about 100mil each year on the average). KTM actually handle All the
Freight Cargo plus passengers on the West Coast( also every known Industrial transportation in Malaysia that required Rail service )

All i can said, we cannot offend China bcoz 400bil of our International Trade goes to China every year without this you think Mahathir really care about 30bil penalty. Malaysia can go to International Court and invalidate this "One Sided" contract ( obviously with fraud intended and China as the other party)
