Gross Profit for 2017 was 1430M

Take out inventory Gain of 400M in 2017,
Gross Profit becomes:
= 1030M

Consider Inventory loss of at least 100M,
Gross Profit becomes:
= 930M

Consider Fixed cost of 150M per qtr x 4 qtrs per year:
= 600M


PBT for 2018 without any shutdown & upgrade
= 330 M

PAT for 2018 without any shutdown & upgrade
= 250M

EPS for whole year 2018 = 83 cents

(considering the same exceptional refining margin in 2017 - Hurricane Harvey)

For those not in the know, Companies Act 2016 was implemented and became effective on 31 January 2017.

Solvency test can be manipulated via some creative accounting. Show some ratios, tweak cash flows a bit here a bit there etc.

Lets assume 3 USD/brl going forward though news clearly stated 10 USD/brl.

From Part 1, 3 USD/brl drop result with RM 500M drop in PBT.

EPS for whole year = - 23 cents
