In case somebody doesn't know, AA Japan is a subsidiary company of AA which runs internal flights within Japan, not from KL to Japan.

The Original reason for Air Asia Japan was because Japanese are rich.
so air travel is more popular in Japan

This begs the question who is richer?
Japanese or Malaysians?

Air Asia failed in a rich country but expects to obtain fantastic profits in a poor country?
This beggars the intelligence of most people.

also Japan stretches 3,000 km

Malaysia?
330 km from KL to JB
and KL to Alor Setar 437km
do you need air travel?

Air Asia never made money from flying passengers, its losses

profits came from booking lots of planes and then selling off planes at high prices to other airlines during aviation boom.

now is aviation doom.
all airlines are selling off planes so no profits here, go figure.

making money from flying passengers will be a totally new thing for Air Asia.
They will need to LEARN how to do this.
just like a final year university graduate learning about logarithm.....
