Below are just speculation and who actually owned the 8% in AA not gonna affect AA's prospect.
Stanley Choi officially owns a financial group. Not much is known about him apart from him being a good poker player. The 8% stakes are not under his listed company ownership. Few things raised my interest.
1. That's RM200m. Has he got it?
2. Why all the sudden a HK businessman getting involved in Malaysia company? AA not a goreng stock like Inix.
Stanley entered a lot of high stake poker tournaments. Up to USD1m. However, it's open knowledge that some of the best players are financed by others. Especially the last 8-9 years where Malaysian poker players have changed the poker wagers to millions of dollars per pot in Macau. Stanley in 1 occassion at least was financed by Malaysian Richard Yong. I would incline to believe that he is just a front man

Bursabet. From link below i found, he is worth less than RM200m. I doubt a person with 10B net worth got so little info on the internet unless he is into "underground" business.
Indeed, he runs a casino in Philippines. In case you don't know who Richard Yong and Paul Phua are, just google Paul Phua and you will get hours of interesting read.
In Malaysia, football kakis know him because of Maxbet or IBCbet if i recall the site correctly. Money is not an issue either way. Paul Phua openly stated in interview he lost RM100m in casino every year. (Just speculation he is involved. Very interesting indeed)

Announcement PP for stanley is only 167m shares. He directly/indirectly owns 332m shares altogether means he bought around 170m shares after PP announcement till today which made him the substantial shareholder of around 8%.

The first PP tranche total shares is 370m shares. Minus stanley’s 167m there are about 200m PP shares identity still unknown. If they are not announced as substantial shareholders it would be taken by a few parties hence holding is below 5% requirement for announcement.
