rr88 simply badmouth YTLPower caused fear among the "poor and small" investors, it is a bad karma.
The "poor and small" investors just simply sell off this excellent stock and cause a big loss in profit.
In 2020, I recommended Supermx at 3.60, the share price of Supermx went up to 24.50. He kept on shouting sell almost everyday at 7.00, 9.00, 10.00, 12.00, 15.00 and etc.
The "poor and small" investors just lost of profit if they listened to his fear and sell off the stock.
rr88 will not do well in his investment because of his badmouth on stocks in I3.

YTLP needs to break 4.00 follow by. YTL at 2.50. coming CNY we can see both YTLP/YTL hitting thier targeted price if their Qtr result is better than analysts forecast. Not to discount a surprise interim dividend pay out. Coming qtr result is expected to announce on 23 Feb. A big Ang pow coming

@dragon or @OTB , what if Hang Seng (a sure thing to happen just the when, they are holding with their final strength i am afraid , structural collapse end deal) and STI got pull down with it ? Where do ytlpower stand or KLSE. I suspect the Dr .Yu guy last week got burn badly in Hong Kong stock and got margin call by bank, hence the minor small cap collapse ( wonder how bad is the bank burned in this sale out).

YTL Data Centre potential earnings finally factored in, hence the revised valuation of RM5.15.

That's more like it HLIB. The only IB with cojones to do this. The other IBs issued too many call warrants hence they have to zip up due to conflicting interest.

Maintain BUY, TP: RM5.15. We reiterate our BUY recommendation, with a higher TP of RM5.15 (from RM3.90), based on 10% discount to SOP: RM5.72 – largely after incorporating the valuation for YTLDC and higher valuation for Wessex Water. We believe that current valuation remains undemanding, while earnings and dividends may continue to surprise on the upside. We expect further upside as investors come to appreciate the value of its data centre, earnings recovery of Wessex Water and sustainability of PowerSeraya.

Since everyone feeling very happy today, I just share a Feng Shui joke that I read from internet.

Period 9 will start from 4/2/2024 and end in 3/2/2044.
This Period 9 cycle will last for 20 years.
9 is a fire element, the location is south.
In period 9, the following elements (business) will perform well in the next 20 years.
1.) Fire - Utility (electricity)
2.) Earth (Construction and Property)
3.) Metal (Electronics, semiconductor and data storage)

YTLPower will perform very well because of
1.) Electricity or power generation inclusive of RE (fire element).
2.) Solar-power green data storage center (metal element).
These 2 important business sectors are located in the south of West Malaysia (Johor).
The business of YTLPower is very favourable because of favourable elements and favourable location in Period 9.

In West Malaysia, Johor is located in the south sector, hence Johor will perform well in the next 20 years.
The property stocks in Johor will also perform very well especially Johor Iskandar zone.

Do not be very superstitious, take it as a joke or reference only.

I invest based on TA and FA, I will take this Feng Shui tips as a reference only (not the stock selection criteria).

@Jonathan Keung , developed country is a relative term, like the student rank in a class. And yes that mean beat the 80% or 90% of other classmate. Getting there but there is still some flaw in our system , take for instance ytlpowr what it worst fear ? I guess force take over by government which happen to SP Setia and Kuok Sugar company. After SP setia , i think ytlpowr shift it's entire portfolio to external country , can see from it's finance earning most are from foreign country , that's perhaps a strategy to avoid force take over. Do the new government forever renounce it's intention to nationalize private company? Or perhaps jailing the cronies that benefit from this operations is a first step.

Singapore dollars and british pounds both broke up resistance of 3.50 and 6.00 respectively. If this momentum continues to end of March, we can expect a bumpy earnings contribution from PowerSeraya and Wessex Waters for the Q3 FY2024 quarter. It is timely especially when Wessex is about to turn in profits from this Q2 FY2024 onwards.

TDM was the man behind all this scheme to enrich his inner circles. Look at the buy back of MAS from Tajuddin at $8 per share vs the traded price of 3.60. The take over of Konsortium Perkapalan { Mirzan Mahathir } by PETRONAS is another clear example where hidden hands are at play. In the 80' s TDM and his inner circles was undoubtedly " do as I wish " 30 years later TDM lost his election deposit. Nothing last forever.
