#OTB The strength of RM is on the uptrend basing on the technical chart.
I agreed that the appreciation of RM is too fast and too soon.
It may cause more problem for exporters to do business.
I strongly believe it is good for the present government or BNM to reduce interest rate by 25 bp to reduce the strength of the RM.
It is also good that the appreciation of RM will be gradual and this will give enough time for all business to adjust to this new phenomenon.

There are many advantages of reducing interest rate by 25 bp.
All loan borrowers have lower installments to pay.
This extra money can be used to invest in property, stock market, buy car and etc.
This extra spending will improve the economy of Malaysia and improve GDP further.

I hope the BNM will reduce the interest rate by 25 bp soon.
If the BNM can reduce interest rate by 25 bp, it will help KLSE to perform better.

The Groups have to make provision for Foreign exchange loss despite great progress. The Group reported a loss after tax and minority interests (“LATAMI”) of RM5 million in Q2 FY2025, compared to RM43 million of profit after tax and minority interest (“PATAMI”) in the corresponding quarter of the previous year (“Q2 FY2024”). Foreign exchange losses totaling RM101 million, primarily due to the depreciation of the US dollar against the ringgit, weighed heavily on the Group's results. Excluding the effect of foreign exchange losses, the Group’s Q2 FY2025 adjusted PATAMI is RM96 million.

I respect OTB, dragon.they have created many rich players of ytlp from 4th quarter 2023 to June 24. Because they brain washed their followers to and extend that the followers will not accept anything other than ytlp is the best. lately the sifus have been talking neutral issues of ytlp. This indicates sifus are not v sure if the direction. As sifus they try not hurt the mind set of followers. But I would say the sifus should have told followers that they are unsure with many negative events have to be honest..no stock stay strong forever

@Permutation, I have not heard any confirmed deal between Oracle and YTLP re leasing the AI data centre in Kulai, though they may be talking to each other as YTLP's Kulai DC park offers one of the cheapest and fastest way for Oracle to roll out its AI cloud services in Malaysia.

Until I read any confirmation of the deal, I am keeping my forecast net profit of RM3.75 billion (EPS of 46.2 sen) for FY2025 and RM4.71 billion (EPS of 58.1 sen) for FY2026, having included earnings contribution from data centres with SEA Ltd, Nvidia and a hyperscaler.

The data centres they take up, are they AI data centres or data centres without AI ?
