Plantation is like glove I.e. short term surge due to one off event and cannot sustain and down badly.. u can see gloves stocks price plunging like no tomorrow..

Tech/ semicon with bright future of 5g and more to come 6g… with the pandemic it has waken biz to go into tech more. Meaning whether u like it or not biz will have to upgrade to 5g / new tech moving forward regardless rate hike or not…

I think xcalibre is just trolling. Everyone knows next quarter results will be this quarters earning with the high CPO prices. So dividends will be high for next quarter. This quarter is already high based on last quarter CPO which was RM3k to RM4k, without Indonesia restrictions and without war.

The only tech companies that I would buy in Malaysia are the OSATs namely Malaysian Pacific Industries, Unisem and automation contractor which is Greatech located in Penang. The rest are garbage

Usually commodity analyst make prediction by quarters. Meaning, if they think palm oil futures are priced in, based on time series analysis, FCPO will keep going up until June 15th at maturity

US isnt a key market for Palm oil as they consume mostly other vegetable oils to protect the North America and EU vege oils market. The key palm oil consumers would be China, India and Pakistan. Middle east n Central Asia would be the upcoming key markets when they switch to Palm Oil.

Regarding recent speculation of CPO by experts Fry and Mistry, Fry said CPO will maintain high and Mistry said CPO will go down. I assume Mistry wants others to stay away from plantation so he can buy it cheap. Then in next few weeks we will see the bull, since he will be buying it.

KUALA NERANG (March 13): The price of crude palm oil (CPO) is expected to continue to rise at least until the third quarter of this year and is projected to reach RM9,300 a tonne.

Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin (pictured) said the figure was achievable based on the development of CPO futures contract trading on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.
