Some of us went through retrenchments some way or another, not because of fraud accounts, but investors decided to leave Msia and left, and invested in other countries, we found jobs elsewhere, 7,000 of us then. Stay strong serbanians.

Risk averse vs risk taker

Despite the prominent negative signs and scandals one after another , LadyMeow and her gangs are still delusional to believe that SD is intact.

It clearly shows they are bunch of "high risk taking investors as opposed to most of sensible investors and traders who are risk averse, avoid high-risk stocks or investments and are prepared to forego higher rates of return.

Your statement has tugged my heartstrings.

I have an idea that may work. Use available cash to pay each staff 2 years salaries as retrenchment benefits.

As at 30th Sep 2021, available cash, less pledged FD and overdrafts, was RM244.926M .

The 2019 annual report (page 171) stated that total compensation and benefits for its 1,725 employees was RM 119M.

So, 2 years worth of compensation and benefits for all employees will be RM238M.

The available cash after paying 2 years of employee compensation and benefits will be RM6.926M (244.926-238).

The plan sounds exciting. The company will go down. But, all employees will get 2 years salaries.

Karim will be a hero!

Just do it.


p.s.

On second thoughts, don't do it.

If you were to show the 2019 numbers of:
- Revenue : RM4,528.621M
- Staff strength : 1,725
- Total employee compensation and benefits: RM119M
- Percentage of income from overseas customers : 68.62%

Some smart aleck will point out that:
- Salary per employee per month of RM5k is very low for specialized oil and gas services, and especially for work primarily in countries that pay 5-6 times that amount
- Salaries as a percentage of revenue of 2.627% does not look real

And the smart aleck will look at Bumi Armada's numbers and will say that
- Armada's average salary per month is RM23k
- Salaries as a percentage of revenue of 14.66%

By using 14.66% as the true salaries per revenue, Serba's true revenue ought to be only RM811M
( 119M / 0.1466) in 2019, and not RM4,528.621M .

--->>> Conclusion: true revenue as a percentage of reported revenue is 17.91% ( 811 / 4528 ) .

--->>> True revenue for 2020 ought to be only RM1,077M ( 17.91% x 6,014.075M )

--->>> Since most of the numbers are fake, the available cash of RM244.96M on 30th Sep 2021 is fake as well

Short Term Liabilities: SERBADK's short term assets (MYR5.5B) exceed its short term liabilities (MYR2.2B).

Long Term Liabilities: SERBADK's short term assets (MYR5.5B) exceed its long term liabilities (MYR2.4B).

Debt Level: SERBADK's net debt to equity ratio (80.5%) is considered high.
