Pbb is the best Bank stock no dispute . But no reason for price to move up due to bonus issue unless fantastic earning like Top Glove. Bonus issue won't improve earning.. Be careful my dear investor. After bonus, share can just drop to it's original price.

Haha who go goreng PPB? PPB not meant for goreng one la. After covid 19 ended, the price will stay almost the same price. Not much up and down anymore.

However, I still buy 1 lot to support to get some dividend. Took 5 years for public bank to up until this price after stock split. This is old man stock. Don't expect up and down fast.

We keep our HOLD call on Public Bank (PBB).
Am investment Bank.
Our fair
value has been revised to RM17.70/share from
RM16.00/share, pegging the stock to FY21 P/BV of 1.4x
(previously 1.3x), supported by a higher ROE of 10.8%.
We fine-tune our FY20/FY21 net profit by -1.3%/+0.9% to
account for higher NOII estimate and raises our FY20
credit cost to 0.30% from 0.20%.
 The group reported a lower core 3Q20 net profit of
RM1.33bil (-4.0% QoQ) despite recording a stronger net
income. This was due to further conservative provisions
booked which included the management overlay.

@Stockisnotfun PBB will have lower price and higher stock liquidity after the bonus issue PERFECT as a goreng counter! Lower price will attract more retail investors, not over dependant on big funds. The share price will have higher volatility than it is now. It will take over Top Glove in the near future.

Kind reminder : all bank stocks are recovery stocks. Unlike gloves which are cyclical, a thing of the past months. That's why you see TG falling despite outstanding profits and dividend today. Investors are selling on news, switching over to bank stocks, PBB in particular today.

Don't buy PBB, it is gonna be a goreng counter!

Are you sure PBB is worth less than HLB at only RM17. 70?? Do you have any idea PBB has a higher market capitalisation than HLB?? Alamak...

Cimb Research gave PBB a TP of RM21. 60..which do you think makes more sense?

Stock market is all about sentiments. I believe this bonus issue is a positive sentiment which will probably push its price to 25 before ex. I remember when they split 1 share to 10 shares way back in the eighties if I remember correctly.

Simple, when you don't see any glove kaki going around ask everyone to buy glove, then can start to monitor, after 1 or 2 months, then safe to buy. If you really want to invest in glove. Just my opinion.

Based on current price of RM20.06
After bonus(Divide by 5) => RM4.01

It's very cheap of RM4.01, then everybody can buy pbb shares already,
then it will spike up from RM4.01 to above RM20 again, like what Topglove,Harta & Supermax did !
