Proton is such a failure in its decades of existence. Actually, I wish Proton would have lost much more money last qtr. In this way Proton can't extract much concessions from the FSP and that should make the deal goes alot smoother, quicker and in FSP's favour.

Proton cant breakeven if the annual sales is less than 250k per annum, which is close to 21k per month...kindly read the latest qtr report...profit merely come from The Verge shopping mall disposal, not to mention Proton able to make profit, if Proton is able to breakeven, do u think those idiots sit in Parliment willing to let go Proton? They all run around n shout out loud is their effort tat Proton able to survive wiithout outsider.

Wat i expect the most is wat will happen to Bank Mualamat, mayb DRB will surprise the market by listing it...only then, FM will take a serious look into DRB portfolio.

Got FSP is great, but the doubt is the price, n how much stake drb willing to let go...hope they r not stupid like government, let go the opportunity to sell off Proton to GM.

@yongch.... DRB main revenue is from their automotive which include proton. That is also why they have been bleeding too. Till they can get Proton back on track, DRB will continue to bleed. To finalize the deal, even with FSP, it will takes a long time. Till then continue to bleed.

Agreement can be done by 31.3.. but restucturing, redesign all the cars and market it will takes time. We may only see a turn around in a year time.

Jack Ma will be launching ECOMMERCE Free Trade Zone this month. According to latest result DRB got good business in logistics. Possible JV between Alibaba and POS/DRB will increase DRB logistic business by manifold.

After that will come Jv with Peugeot and Geely for Proton

Islamic Pawn Shop will continue to be the next to garner in high profits

And queitly BN will pump monies into DRB by purchasing 8x8 defense tanks.

Also expect more Corwin type like asset sales to unlock value from POS and DRB land banks.

Above all - BN is more concerned that GLC LINKED stocks will perform as Election Machinery is now rolling till GE14.

So hold tight.

Don't trade. Avoid taking profit too early. And buy more on weakness

Proton is only a small part of Drb. And Persona/Eritga are eating into Perodua sales.

Pm Najib will give Proton Iriz another push when A Discount of Rm5,000 given to Uber or Grab taxis

The future explosive profits for DRB will come from ECommerce. Pos has 700 distribution centers. Imagine 700 hypermarkets distributing all kinds of goods at 30% to 40% - cutting off middlemen. - and closing many malls and shopping complex like what Amazon and Alibaba did.

So look ahead

The future for Drb is bright with the rising morning sun
