Don't bother what EPF is doing. EPF also kept selling YTL until no longer become significant holder...JUST BEFORE the recent rally.

UP not only outperformed its peers, they even outperformed themselves with FFB average yield/ha increased by 1.50% and OER increased by 2.20%. Their superior operational performance mainly due to their prime age oil palm trees coupled with mechanisation effort as well as sterling plant breeding techniques (high-yielding seed, Clonal DxP).

Everyone has their own 2nd best, thus for me , this company must share most of UP characteristics, ie. 80% div payout policy, consistent div payout every year and debt free. So far only 1 palm oil company that owned by Sabah gov meet this criteria.

@JrWarren, I don't like the private placement, it is not fair to small shareholders like me. Eventhough the dividend policy looks decent, both the oil yield and transparency / disclosure of business is still fall behind by very far. @Tanleechoo, I can't identify one, that's why I ask for idea.

@Sardin, I think u know which company I am talking abt =P
It ranked no. 2 for a reason, but the hidden potential is tremendous once the other estates enter into harvesting period.
I got two more no. 2 companies in other industry which not ready to share, but the no. 3 such as time and rce are always a good buy and they outperformed my portfolio in 2023.

Exactly. Even the conglomerates like Sime Darby and Genting Plantation perform better than KLK in terms of palm oil tree age profile and maturity/extraction yield. KLK is a heavily-politicised company and it is best to stay away from it due to unforeseen political risk.
