Singapore dollars surged to almost RM3.60 yesterday before settling above RM3.50.

If this momentum continues to the end of this month, we can expect another set of stellar earnings contribution from PowerSeraya for this Dec quarter

dragon, the all-time high S$ rate was 3.5319 on 13th Dec, yesterday. Now @ 3.5058. Am doing my best to hold on to whatever shares I have here, but I'm balancing it against needing to earn dividends from other companies that are paying them out in the meantime, with 2nd & 3rd liner Japanese companies having the edge in terms of annual %dividend yield so far.

I smelt the garbage back in 2015 when the Jho LOW/Najisss shennanigans started to leak & fortunately started to buy S$ indirectly by funneling RM into undervalued S'pore shares like Straits Trading.[the rate was still 2.70 back then] Now I'm funneling spare RM into yen while it's still cheap!
Going back to my earlier point: for instance, Nomura in Japan has paid me ¥42,673.03 in cumulative dividends since 2018 despite my entry at inopportune prices & long periods of paper losses having to weather the Archegos debacles etc., on an investment of under ¥300,000. If I sell it today, the net capital gains(disregarding dividends) will be ¥7,000 or so but since the stockmarket there is very active this year, I choose to hold on since Nomura's NTA is over ¥1,000 & the dividends have been coming regularly for decades!

Dompelle. Yes just my personal overall view point view . Not a buy call. If all the above things can materialised then definetly it will be very good year for our Bursa Malaysia. KLSE was non performing for the last 2 years vs our regional peers. Hopefully 2024 will be a great year for equities. Thanks for your feedback

I smelt rotten eggs (or bad corruption) back in year 2016, when Arul Kandasamy started to talk in favour of exPM (in prison now) after he’s in-charge of 1MBD .
Luckily, I’ve bought shares of Apple (AAPL) stock at usd24.88 in Q2 year 2016 with 2/3 of my funds after reading about Warren Buffet had done so in Q1 earlier.
1/3 of all my AAPL shares were replaced by Microsoft (MSFT) shares last year because of ChatGPT related partnership with OpenAI.
I did just 2 transactions only and not a couple of hundred transactions.
Sorry, I had to edit my post because of some inaccuracies.

Longkang technical analysis.
I’m expecting notable consolidation at stock price in the range of rm1.95 to rm2.00 (turbulent headwinds here).
After the coast is clear and the weak shareholders or sellers have been absorbed to make a run up into above the rm2.00 territory.

@KLV868, it is just a dual listing in Japan for YTL. It is exactly the same company and same assets, it is just that some % shares are listed in Japan to raise local money.

It is just like TopGlove which wanted to do a dual listing in Hong Kong for 10% of its shares some 2-3 years ago. It is mainly to get a higher valuation and to raise local money.

Generally all investment house is favourable & bullish on YTLP prospect and upped their TP for FY 2024. YTLP paid a total of 6 sen in FY 2023 ending June. This is expected to increase to 10 sen for FY 2024. Francis Yeoh at the recent Bloomberg interview mentioned YTL is prudent in managing its cash rich utility company. With a healthy cash pile of 9 billion ringgit. YTL is able to eye and acquire strategic investment{s} holdings. The recent full commissioning of its 45% owned shale oil plant in Jordan in August {Attarat Power facility} will further bolster it's share of associate earnings. Shale oil production ranged between USD 15-25 per barrel vs current crude oil prices at USD 76 - 80 per barrel. please do your research before you buy or sell. Just sharing my personal views
