PP is fair given the overall market sentiment. Plus the PP will be used a lot for investments in digital as that's their push. at least they are honest that they using monies for fuel and to keep their aircrafts tip top ready for borders reopening. Airasia will grow emerge from strength to strength coming out of covid. Look at Malindo - down to 4-5 planes. MH creditors restructuring. AA will dominate ASEAN. If we look at it from an objective point of view, the initial recovery the minute borders are open will be short-haul Asean. When borders open do you think you want to travel long-haul so quickly? Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila, Chiang Mai, even domestically look at their load factor in their operating stats - will be the first short haul destinations we will travel to.

Those staying on sidelines can go for genm since genm will be the first one to thrive after MCO stops. No doubt airasia will go back to rm 2 and above. Uk covid graph is going to be flat soon. M'sia will follow suit.

Nobody here mentions about Israel doctors highly likely found cure for covid 19 which is cheaper and faster to produce than vaccines?
Of course vaccines prevents. While cure means you will have to be infected first to be cured.

Israel plans to open up some hotels, gyms and other leisure facilities in two weeks to those documented as being immune to COVID-19, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said on Wednesday.

This week, Israel’s covid hospitalisations for people over 60s (630 hosp) is now lower than people below 60s (700 hosp)

In mid Jan (for comparison), people over 60s recorded 1K hospitalisations whereas people below 60s recorded 600 hospitalisations

Vaccine co like J&J (1 dose covid vaccine coming in 2-3 weeks) & Eli Lily (covid treatment got EUA approval) at all time highs b’coz they have huge presence in healthcare industry/products

Co like Pfizer/Moderna dont have big presence in healthcare (though they were the 1st to create vaccine)..their vaccines more expensive than others & eventually vaccine competition will take effect..their vaccine is more short-term, thats why stock price falling from highs

Astrazeneca making covid vaccine at cost/non-profit..so stock price falling abit but still high compared to prev years

Honestly speaking, I am a mid-term trader. I don't hold a stock more than a week or month. AirAsia is exceptional. I don't care of it's coming QR as I am more interested in it's future earning. My holding is between 1 to 3 years for Airasia and my expected returns...300%

It appears obvious that AA had chosen to price the PP based on the low average price of 5 day VWAP up to only 9 Feb as prices were on the way up. The potential buyers can either sell or short the shares to make easy killing ! Very cunning !

There is nothing bad about PP if done fairly with good intention as it shows support from investors and a quick way to raise equity capital. The recurring issue that arise is the pricing of the PP shares. Normally the issuers chose to price the shares for PP when the past 5 day average price were comparatively low. Too much leeway were given to directors to fix the price and the discount. Similar issue also happen in fixing ESOS price.

This news is 3 weeks ago, why is everyone acting so surprised about the pricing? At the date of the announcement, the private placement was assumed to be 68 sens because the max discount they can give is 10% according to the rules and this was at a 9.08% discount, it has since been disclosed to be 67.5 sens which is a 9.82% discount.
