AA is going to be the shinning star.
-vaccination process in malaysia . 41% of the population have been vaccinated with 2 doses. 500K doses a day, we should reach herd immunity soon.
-AA nett profit is 1.5 to 1.6 billions during the good old days .they should be able to repeat this once the whole asean countries hv reached herd immunity Another 3-5 months...Nett profit might be higher with the addition of the new businesses!!!
-they venture into the right kind of businesses. superapps, teleport, food delivery etc They seem to be going ih the rite directions. The future
- Banking groups eg SK, etc are willing to invest in AA because they hv confidence in the current management of AA. Best run low cost carrier for 11 donkey years!!!!
-about 23% of AA shares are owed by foreign funds.
NO rite No wrongs. We all see things differently!!!
i wouldn't repeat all these again and again like the negative ppl here.

Borrowings ________ 1,136.1M

AA's shareholders equity is currently at negative RM4.19B and liabilities will just keep ballooning.

Prior years' profits were obtained through trading (buy, sell and lease back) of airplanes, underpaying pilots and crews; and low fuel prices.

The variables going forward for the few years will be:

- Max 40,000M ASK (assuming Carlyle Aviation, Incline, NBB, BOC Aviation, Castlelake LP etc do not 'tarik' aircraft)

- Cost per ASK - excluding fuel (sen) > 10

- Jet Fuel Price (RM/gallon): 7 to 9

Reference is made to the obligation of the Company pursuant to Paragraph 9.22(1) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) (“MMLR”), wherein the Company’s Q2 2021 Results are required to be announced to Bursa Securities for public release no later than two (2) months after the end of the said quarter of the financial year ending 31 December 2021, at the latest by 31 August 2021.

Due to the steep increase of Covid-19 cases and the implementation of a Full Movement Control Order (“FMCO”) by the Government of Malaysia to contain the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak in Malaysia, Bursa Securities had vide its letter dated 16 June 2021 granted a one (1)-month extension of time for issuance of the quarterly reports and annual reports that include annual audited financial statements and the auditors' and directors' reports, which are due by 31 July 2021 and 31 August 2021 respectively.

Further to the above and in view that the various travel restrictions implemented under the FMCO have significantly impacted the preparation of the Company's Q2 2021 Results, the Board of Directors of AAGB wishes to announce that the Company would utilise the automatic extension of time granted by Bursa Securities, i.e. an extension of time of one (1) month for the issuance of AAGB's Q2 2021 Results from 31 August 2021 to on or before 30 September 2021.

Notwithstanding the aforesaid automatic extension of time granted by Bursa Securities, the Company will endeavour to make the necessary issuance as soon as possible and continue to comply with the continuing disclosure obligations under the MMLR, including making immediate announcement(s) of any material information pursuant to Paragraph 9.03 of the MMLR, to ensure that shareholders and investors continue to receive material information in a timely manner.

This announcement is dated 23 August 2021.
