Conclusions: Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.
agree thats why I already posted that US Govt now working on a Magic Pill just like Tamiflu specially targeted for covid-19

"However, results from the WHO SOLIDARITY Trial conducted at 405 hospitals spanning across 40 countries involving 11,330 inpatients with COVID-19 who were randomized to receive remdesivir (2750) or no drug (4088) found that remdesivir had little or no effect on overall mortality, initiation of mechanical ventilation, and length of hospital stay"
Dexamethasone plus remdesivir is only palliative for the critically ill patients that require oxygen delivery through a high-flow device or noninvasive ventilation
The paper by LWW is a study of 24 randomized controlled trials involving 3406 participants. Unfortunately Elgazzar one of the first papers, that led everyone to get into the idea that Ivermectin worked, was included in the LWW paper.
"The paper’s irregularities came to light when Jack Lawrence, a master’s student at the University of London, was reading it for a class assignment and noticed that some phrases were identical to those in other published work.
When he contacted researchers who specialize in detecting fraud in scientific publications, the group found other causes for concern, including dozens of patient records that seemed to be duplicates, inconsistencies between the raw data and the information in the paper, patients whose records indicate they died before the study’s start date, and numbers that seemed to be too consistent to have occurred by chance."
We now know that there is something called 'faith-based Covid drug' studies.
KKM is already doing a double-blind clinical on Ivermectin and results will be published next month.
To take a peek at the KKM's clinical trial, you just need to be aware that:
- hospitals are already using all types of antibiotics, antivirals, hepatitis, HIV and parasite drugs as treatment options
- the principal MSD has issued a statement that there is no scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect for Ivermectin
- Iverwar, made by India-based Noel, has flooded the Malaysian market at RM200 per box of 10x10
- cases and death rates continue to escalate in Malaysia

Evaluation of anti-dengue activity of Carica papaya aqueous leaf extract and its role in platelet augmentation Navita Sharma et al. Arch Virol. 2019 Apr. Show details

Abstract
Dengue disease is characterized by a marked decrease in platelet count, which is life threatening. In the present study, we investigated the antiviral activity of an aqueous extract of Carica papaya leaves (PLE) against dengue virus (DENV) and its effect on platelet augmentation. The anti-dengue activity of PLE in DENV-infected THP-1 cells was examined by immunoblotting and flow cytometry. The effect of PLE on erythrocyte damage was investigated using hemolytic and anti-hemolytic assays. Virus-infected THP-1 cells were assayed for IFN-α secretion. The effect of PLE on platelet augmentation in rats with cyclophosphamide-induced thrombocytopenia was also investigated. The platelet count of blood from the retro-orbital plexus of rats was determined on the 1st, 4th, 7th, 11th and 14th day of study. On the 14th day, the rats were sacrificed for histopathological examination of the liver, kidney and spleen. Plasma of thrombocytopenic rats was tested for thrombopoietin (TPO) and IL-6 secretion. The data suggest that PLE significantly decreases the expression of the envelope and NS1 proteins in DENV-infected THP-1 cells. A marked decrease in intracellular viral load upon PLE treatment confirmed its antiviral activity. This also resulted in a significant decrease in erythrocyte damage and hydrogen-peroxide-induced lipid peroxidation. A significant increase in the number of platelets was found in thrombocytopenic rats treated with PLE, along with an increase in IL-6 and TPO levels. These findings suggest that PLE can potentially be used as an antiviral agent, as it helps in platelet augmentation and exhibits antiviral activity against DENV.

At a press conference here where he was surrounded by his key ministers, Muhyiddin said he would propose a framework for bipartisan political cooperation, including a RM300,000 allocation for all MPs and senators regardless of political parties.
“All MPs will get the same annual allocations regardless of their political party. For the opposition, the amount will be prorated for the remaining months.”
He said this “all of government” approach will ensure political stability and a functioning administration.

Milk from lactating females who have been vaccinated with covid vaccines contain antibodies that help provide protection against the virus.
If there is a study to test the effectiveness via the following trials:
A: drink papaya leave juice for 1 month
B: suck breasts of 10 females, changed daily, 50% lactating, 50% non-lactating for 1 month
Which trial will your uncle Donald choose?

Long way to go for retail sector recovery TheEdge Sun, Aug 15, 2021 09:30am - 8 hours ago
KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 15): Retail footfall throughout the country has been significantly affected during this Covid-19 pandemic, which is far from over, seeing the recent surge in infection rates.
Property consultants say it’ll take at least another two years before sales rates can get back to pre-pandemic levels.
“While local consumption levels can bounce back with the rate of vaccination, tourist-related business will take time to recover. Changed work habits are also going to modify and affect the pattern of consumption,” says Savills Malaysia associate director of retail services Murli Menon.
He adds that some malls or retail outlets located in mainly commercial office districts are going to have to change their offerings and strategies to recover weekday footfall and business.
Retail Group Malaysia managing director Tan Hai Hsin says it is critical to allow retail stores in the Klang Valley to open soon as they account for 60% of the total retail turnover in Malaysia. “Even though eight states and one federal territory have progressed beyond the NRP Phase 1, they do not account for a large share of the retail market in Malaysia,” he says.
Meanwhile, as retailing today and in the future are omni-channel, CBRE | WTW group managing director Foo Gee Jen notes that the evolution of physical retail space may occur as retailers re-strategise in terms of space function and focus on the quality of certain physical stores for customer experience while maintaining their online platforms.
“This evolution may have an impact in terms of space layout and size requirement.” He expects to see more self-checkout stores and dark stores, which only cater for pick-ups and delivery, in the Klang Valley.

The rapid spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant is raising borrowing costs for leisure-and-travel companies as debt investors recalculate the risks facing those industries.
Cruise operator Royal Caribbean Group borrowed $1 billion in bond markets Wednesday but the deal came at a hefty premium relative to the interest rate the company paid just a few weeks ago. Investors demanded a yield of 5.5% on the new five-year debt, up from the 4.25% they accepted when the company issued a similar bond in July. Royal Caribbean didn’t immediately return requests for comment.
Bond yields remain well below the elevated levels companies were forced to pay to raise cash during the spring of 2020. But the spread of Delta is forcing airlines, cruise operators, hotel companies and others to reduce revenue forecasts for the rest of the year
Air Asia has been awarded for 11 years in a row as the world best low cost air line. Certainly it carries some value especially in this competitive service industry and this value as I said earlier is no where written as an asset in the balance sheet. Many other world class companies too even have negative net worth. Don't you think if Air Asia is for sale, the value would most likely to exceed the current value? To run a service biz such as an airline, it take more than just tangible assets such as cash and planes.
If they can survive this pandemic season, they will surely be great again.
The main problem now is - TIME

Yes the big issue is time, when air lines can fly again. For me it is only an uncertainty not a risk as we know sooner or later air travels will restart, especially in in leisure and holiday sectors. Biz travel may be slower to pick up as many biz can be continued to be conducted on line. In fact a big percentage of so called biz travel were not really necessary for conducting biz but more of some kind of perks.
