Thanks Jerry for your view....

The last time I saw this premium between the son and mum was because they wanted to push the mum up to 2.20 and follow by 2.50..... although it was 2-3 years ago....

I will still buy and keep... unless there is some fundamental issue... otherwise not gonna let go so soon...

leek, it's ok to hold. But if you want to play some margin profit gain, you should sell when you see price+volumn up so much in single day. Yes, i bet tommorow morning the son will go up somemore. If im you, i will out and buy back when correction. Anyway decision is yours.
No point to grab the mum, EPF and YTLP seems like coorperating. EPF willing to sell and ytlp willing to buy. YTLP doesn't need to hunt, but the prey coming himself.

Treasury has 6.42% shares... if they cancel all these shares... it means current shares in market will increase 6.42% in value? Thus it will break 2.00 very soon...

1. The boss of ytlp has just been interviewed by the edge last week n he said the shareholders has suffered enough including ytl . Shareholder will be rewarded soon.
2 the cap exp for yes is in tail end. So break even for yes soon.
3.ytlp most likely get the tender of coal power plant which will be concluded earlier 2004.
The rumous mongers r currently spreader widely.
4. Obviously, ytl group has link closely with muhidden looking at the fact that Ibestari is awarded to them.the most important fact is school compound is being used for tower transmission purpose.

Last week, star reported Ranhill failed to be re-listed in KLsE, the partner obviously wanted to cah out immediately after listing.So Right now the most likely choice is to sale it's valuable assets - water concessionair of Johor. And is subjected to tender in 2014. Ytlp again stand a good chance to secure it through power middle man .i.e muhidden.

Wow, so active posting today.....I've swap wb to YTLP, with two main reason: free up more margin line as WB is cap at 40sen , but mum is accord to market price + wb is at premium.

Aside sbb, I expect Yeoh family may resume YTLP quarterly dividend payout to reward shareholder.

Now wait patiently waiting for YTLP Q1 financial result to further dig inside potential YTLP prospect.

If 6.2 percent treasury share cancel, the ex-price of mother should be 2.05. Son should be around 84 cents. Look like cancellation before 26-Nov-2013 is coming soon!!! Someone internal must know this already.

Upcoming Q1 result will recognize positive impact of first tranche cancellation at 3.5%, if YTLP opt to cancel current 6.4% again, these impact will recognize in next quarter Q2.

leek, yes share price move ahead faster. hng, yes, i think NTA announce this quarter will be around 1.50 up from 1.41 because of the 3.5% cancellation and also the estimate profit. Next quarter NTA will be around 1.63 already. Price over book still look good.

Currently YTLP already accumulate 460.7m share in treasury, is higher than EPF remaining stake at 436.8m share. With increasing stake everyday at treasury and depleting stake at EPF, share liquidity will gradual reduce leading to share continue uptrend. Also no surprise if EPF recognize their their stake is diminishing, it will buyback instead from open market again to retain their state as major shareholder....just like what epf did on YTL...sell low buy high...
