just imagine.last year november 2019 rally to january to above 1.59 when palm price rm3100 only..now already rm3400 to rm3500.and if export duty free extension to march 2021,price of palm touch rm4000 in january 2021 with strong economy recovery play,tsh prices should exceed rm2

Price of Crude Oil is on the uptrend, shortage of soybean and corn making prices going up. Prices of soy biodiesel is also on the uptrend.
Indonesian government adamant in implementing B40 in 2021.
After CNY in Feb, Hari Raya in May...
Covid cases in India has dropped from 97,000 per day to just 30,000 today. With the largest consumer India opening up, the demand will definitely pick up further. Jan-Oct 2019 total imports from India of malaysian palm oil 4,000,000 tons while Jan-Oct 2020 total imports malaysian palm oil is 2,000,000 tons . Its only half year on year. The situation in India is very desperate and that is why the Indian government urgently reduced their import duty 10%...
Current Soy oil at USD 200 per ton higher than palm oil, other oils such as sunflower seed oil and canola is too expensive.

US and Brazillian upcoming soybean production in January harvest has been sold to China. Urgent need from China as feedstock to revive the pork industry as millions of pigs were culled last year due to African Swine flu.

Already experts are predicting CPO to hit 4300... looking at current 3700 , I wont be surprised if it hits 4000. With production cost at RM1700 per ton, I expect the next TSH quarter result to show at least RM 80mio in profit. Why? Usually, commodities are sold forward. As such the preceding quarter ending September 2020 was mainly sold much earlier at around RM 2500-2800. However, Oct-Dec prices contracted are RM 2700-3200..average should be higher BUT the astronomic profit will be for 2021 Q1 and Q2.. Prices of contracts for the shipments in this period should be between 3300 onwards.
With LaLina effect, the palm trees will suffer lower yields for a while.. in fact it is nature's way of repairing..
The last peak in CPO in 2013/2014 is nothing compared to the current shortage.Malaysian and Indonesia stocks are getting lower month on month...while the demand is increasing exponentially month on month.
Everyone talks about V shaped recovery.. commodities will be the first to rebound usually because they are what the factories would need to start production.
Those who have missed the Glove boom, this might be our golden chance. Unlike gloves, palm oil dont mature till 3-4 years.. no way to increase production unless you have upcoming maturing plants..which TSH, JTIASA is adding more and more matured acreage each year...

I am no analyst of any Investment banks but if I was, I would be picking up the stocks before I publish any recommendation.

Sunflower or corn oil not a viable substitute for palm oil. With Indonesia going for B40 exports of palm oil will be severely impacted. Bad weather and seasonal low crop { Dec - Mar} is a perfect storm for price hike. Strictly my own view & personal take

2009-2014 uptrend bull run
2014-2019 bears
2020- 2025 uptrend super bull run starts.
