Ha! Ha! I called for a buy on PM Corp when it was 15 cts. Then this TigerShark appeared to disturb PM Corp. I told him to buy some on weakness at 20.5 cts.
PM Corp subsequently shot up to 37 cts and now retraced to 22 cts. You can check this out in PM Corp Forum Tread whether it is true or not.
Even at 22 cts TigerShark would have made 6.9% in less than a year- better than Bank FD at 3.5% interest.

Hi Calvin, may i get your opinion on Berjaya Asset, with Times Square and Berjaya Waterfront project, added with Sultan Johor's support, is it wise to buy Basset share at current price? Besides, at current price RM0.84, it is discount from NAV RM1.85 and Sultan Johor bought Basset at RM1.67 per share. Thanks.
Both Berjaya Times Square in KL & Berjaya Waterfront Hotel are iconic buildings. However, the earnings are mediocre.
Some years ago there was a Metrojaya in Berjaya Times Square in KL as well as one in Bukit Bintang Plaza. But MUI Group closed the Metrojaya store in Berjaya Times Square due to lack luster business. I think there was a refurbishing of Times Square and business has picked up.
I have stayed in the Zon Hotel before Berjaya Waterfront took over the hotel business. Its location is less than ideal for business travelers who prefer to stay in New York Hotel and other hotels near KSL City. But since Iskandar is now booming all Hotels should have better occupancy.
I think BJ Assets is OK as an asset play. It will be growing moderately.
Unless Vincent Tan & JB Sultan spring some surprises which is yet to be seen. Can keep watch on this counter.
