Very good profits based on it's significant increase in 1Q's EPS of 10.47 sen (against 2.45 sen in the previous corresponding 2Q) and this was achieved without any extraordinary gains. PowerSeraya's profit margins remained very good to even improved having locked in their power sales contracts at high rates for several years upfront (while their costs stayed steady) Skillful management

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 17): The return of foreign funds to the region is expected to provide a fillip to Bursa Malaysia next week, as buying momentum for domestic equities persists on renewed optimism.

Rakuten Trade Sdn Bhd equity research vice-president Thong Pak Leng said the brokerage firm remains hopeful that the current momentum would lift the trading volume and draw in more investors into the market, especially retail investors.

“As such, we anticipate the index to hover within the 1,520 to 1,540 range next week, with immediate support at 1,520, followed by 1,500. A notable subsequent resistance level stands at 1,540, and a breakthrough above this level could signal further upward momentum,” he told Bernama.

Strong support from foreign funds. That's the most important factor. Most of the foreign funds will look for solid fundamental stocks. YTL POWER of course is one of them.

Foreign investors sustained their net buying trend on
Bursa Malaysia, with an inflow of RM352.9m, marking the
fourth consecutive week of net purchases. Throughout
the week, foreigners recorded net buying every day, with
the highest inflow observed on Tuesday at RM193.0m,
following the market’s reopening.
• The sectors with the highest net foreign inflows were
Financial Services (RM143.6m), Telecommunication &

Profit taking in a long rally is normal. I see quite many people took profit on YTLP around RM4.00-4.20 as that was their first target after getting 200%-300% profit. I have nothing to comment on the profit taking as it is entirely normal for investors to lock in handsome profit. The current share price weakness seems to be a good chance for these people to buy back.

Irrespective of the share price fluctuations, I always fall back to fundamentals. As long as the earnings continue to grow, share price appreciation will follow. Simple as that. Let the numbers in the upcoming quarterly results speak for the company prospects.

I see good chances for us who got it low around RM0.70 to get 7 bags pretty soon, before we look at a 10-bagger.

Indonesian investors are super rich.

The highest point of FBMKLCI was at 1,332 in 1994, the present FBMKLCI is closed at 1,534 on 16/2/2024, an increase of 202 points or 15.3% in the last 30 years.
Malaysian investors are very poor.
